Chris helped us surfing the flooding in 2019 and provided the community with supplies for sand bags. He then replaced our seawall and did a great job. Highly recommend.

Chris was extremely professional and helpful. I would highly recommend his services for storage and marine construction. He’d be very helpful to us with both.

We want to thank and compliment the professionalism and excellent work provided by Chris and associates. We had a much needed sea wall put in this month and we are so happy with the results! Everyone was kind, professional, and respectful to us and neighboring homes throughout the job. We recommend Chris’Marine and will be using them for any future waterfront needs. Chris, thank you for being diligent and accommodating to our dire straits that was our water front prior to coming to our rescue! You gave us our land back and prevented further damage and erosion. We could not be more satisfied:) Sincere thanks, Joanie and Marv

Chris moved his barge away from the house he was working on for the four days of Algonac's Pickerel Tournement and associated festivitiesand blocked my canal instead. I live on a nice canal in Algonac and every year we celebrate with friends and family out here during the biggest holiday of the year here. Chris knows this, yet, he moved his barge and equipment from blocking the river view of the house he is working at and instead blocked in the majority of the residents on both sides of my canal. He blocked not only the view of the river for us but also blocked the canal such that we could not get our boats out.I contend it was intentional. Chris put the barge there Friday Morning, the very first day of festivities. He removed the barge, returning it to where he was working, four days later, after the Algonac Pickerel Tournament holiday festivities were over. I wonder Chris, do you think we didn't notice. Now the best part to me is Chris is mad at me for complaining and will not speak to me to try and work through this. Like I am the bad guy here. I feel I deserve a sincere apology for what he intentionally did to me and my family and other canal residents, on what should have been a perfect summer holiday here in Algonac. Whether I would recommend Chris Marine as a contractor depends on how he continues to act. At this point I am not impressed. To bad because I am an active member of the community and strongly support Algonac business. Please Note... I am not complaining about the work Chris is doing. I am over the top upset at him for intentionally blocking my canal on the biggest holiday of the year. I am sorry but you can not defend this. Chris knew what he was doing and gave no consideration to any of the residents on this canal. Yes, Shame is the word. I called Chris and asked him to move the barge as I could not get my boat out. His response was he has a right to be there. The Marine Deputy who took my report disagreed with his right to block the canal and went to have a chat with Chris. I will say his workmen are very professional. They are not responsible for any of my complaint. So I want to forgive him but I still have no apology and instead I am the bad neighbor. Please explain. All Chris had to do was say I'm Sorry. Additionally, if Chris will apologise I will delete this review.Lori, thanks for your comment. But the neighborhood is not under water. My non-resident neighbors property is flooded and has been for two years. My view? Obviously the view was more important to the house he was working at. Nice of Chris to move his barge for the 4 day weekend for them and too bad people on my canal were blocked out from using our boats. Am I a bad guy for complaining? REALLY LORI? If Chris had said anything to anybody before blocking us all in for the entire weekend I would not be angry. He was most inconsiderate. To be that inconsiderate, to me, is reflective of how he manages his business and customers.Trust me Lori, I hate this. I love boats and water. Oh yea, I am on a 32' canal. The barge is 24' it was docked near the entrance of the canal. Only one house could get their boat out. NOBODY has the right to block a public waterway period.

Denny, the neighborhood is underwater and you are upset about your view? If Chris wasn't there, your neighbors' flooded houses wouldn't be getting pumped out. I'm sure you have helped yourself to the sand and sandbags Chris has repeatedly purchased and donated to the community over the last two years. How does one barge block your canal? You're counting on people believing your exaggerations. It's good that a crew operating cranes and excavators on another man's timeclock isn't being distracted by your rants on their jobsite. Shame on you for intentionally damaging a small business' reputation in this way. You are not a customer, just an entitled bad neighbor.Chris has done outstanding work for my family and our neighbors for over 20 years - three seawalls, two boardwalks, two decks, a side lift hoist, two boatwells with hoist and canopy, and more on our properties. Safety and craftsmanship are impeccable, integrity is unquestioned. He has absolutely earned our trust.Yes John, it is reasonable to pay a deposit for your materials to be ordered and there is a waiting list as Chris' Marine is greatly in demand. You must wait your turn like everyone else (not 2-3 years, need I remind you there is a flood). That does not make Chris a "thief". Absolutely worth the wait. Their work is gorgeous and solid, just look at the website photos. Chris even built his own tugboats and a barge. Impressive company.Chris, thank you for being such a saving grace in our community and all along Lake St. Clair and the St. Clair River. No matter the weather or pandemic challenges, you and your crews keep coming through and delivering as promised or better.

I have a cottage on the Sni Bora and Chris recently did some work for me. He got back with me quickly, very professional, fair, and quality driven. The job took less time than expected so he actually billed me for less then his quoted price. He will be my first call in the future.
