My SIL and I loved this store! The owner (artist) has an eye for lovely home decor items. Her paintings were also beautiful. Only wish we had more time to spend at the store. Bought two pillows and had to call back to buy more!!

I visited The Pear Tree last Summer while vacationing at Torch Lake. This shop is sophisticated, well managed, nice touches by the owners Janis and Jim Schilling who live in Alden themselves. Janis has her beautiful paintings (original and prints in soft hues of watercolor) scattered tastefully around the store. Janis’s artistic talents are what makes her beautiful little boutique so special and well worth a visit.
