I give Hylock Kennels FIVE STARS all the way! I’ve been taking my two dogs there for almost two years now. Fran is the real deal! She is one of the most knowledgeable and caring “Dog-People” I’ve ever met. She’s even given me some helpful training tips to use with my dogs at home! I moved from the area this past summer, but I still drive over an hour and half to board my dogs here! As soon as I pull into the driveway, my Siberian Husky won’t stop barking out of excitement! I won’t trust anyone else with my dogs! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!By the way Christine Blasky’s review doesn’t add up. Everyone knows that you take your collar and leashes with you when you drop off your dogs. The facility is enclosed, they have no need for them and they WONT take them. Fran is an award winning trainer, breeder, and judge! She doesn’t train with a prong collar nor would she ever recommend anyone else to use them which I believe is what happened here! It’s a shame how people refuse to take accountability for their own carelessness, but instead create a narrative that could potentially destroy someone’s business and their livelihood! Her review is shameful!

Our black lab had a terrible experience there. When we left her, she had a prong collar on and I was assured it would be taken off after she had some "training". The collar was still on when we picked her up seven days later and I immediately took it off and noticed there was wet matted hair around each of the prongs and that her neck was wet. When we got her home and looked her over we saw that she had bloody, oozing sores and cuts all around her neck and one on her face as well as a sore swollen area on her rib cage. I called them to see what happened and Fran told me she must have been like that when we brought her there and that we should never use a collar like that on her. We couldn't believe she accused US of mistreating her! She is like one of our children and we have NEVER had anything like this happen to our dog before. We can only assume that she had been roughly handled and the collar never came off for the entire week. Don't trust these people with your pets.

Everyone there seemed very nice, our dogs were well taken care of and their prices are very very fair. We will gladly board our dogs here again.

Great place, I drive 45 minutes or of my way to bring my dogs here. All of my dogs for the past 20 years have loved it. Cash only currently, which is kind of a pain, otherwise great.
