On today's date, 7/28/2024 at 5:00 pm at cashier 1 at Shaw's in Yarmouth, I was served with ignorance and lack of respect by a blonde lady whose name I don't remember. I'm very upset and sad to know that a supermarket like Shaw's has rude employees like this lady.

I got my first and likely last delivery order from list location.
I was significantly overcharged for three “substitutions” that were three times the price and/or far lower quality than the original items on a delivery order. If I want to not be overcharged, I have to now go to return them to the store, which completely defeats the purpose of delivery. Unlike their competition like Whole Foods and Stop and Shop, it appears Shaws will not refund bad substitutions.

It's a standard Shaw's. Friendly staff.
It gets pretty picked over in the summer but they do a good job of restocking. I tend to go early in the morning (7AM) to avoid crowds.
In summer they'll run out of good weekly coupon sales so plan accordingly if you really want the items.
Lastly, make sure you check your bill before paying to make sure coupons have come off the total. I've had lots of problems with this. They'll correct it but it"s a pain in the butt.

Overall I like this store very much but there are pros and cons. The pros are that they have an amazing loyalty program and you can get some tremendous deals here. I save my points and then use the money ($20 for 12 points) to buy things for the food panty. I already get good prices so this benefit can help others. When I get "free goods" as sometimes that happens - they go to the pantry as well. Win - win with Shaws and the Pantry. They have good produce and for the Signature items I really don't see any difference with brand names. The one exception is their meat. I tend to go elsewhere because I have a "go to" place that gives me great cuts. That is not to say they are not good, just that I don't use them. Cons are they rearrange too many times. Yikes - I know they are trying to improve but when you don't have a lot of time, it can be challenging. Otherwise I really recommend that people shop here. I have been very happy.

Walked out today. They are rearranging the floor plan yet again. It appears they no longer carry: shaw's pumpernickel, calise breads ( 2 of the items I specifically went for), 1 pound bag of regular carrots. There was a mob at the deli and no" take a number " available. I left what I had picked up and went to stop & shop. You've got a month ir two before season. Time to get your act together ASAP or you'll lose your regular customers permanently.

I have officially switch to this store. And to Shaws from S&S. This am went and grabbed some cold cuts, and a few items. The guy with the beard as well as his Coworker were extremely friendly and polite. The cashier's and the person bagging, both of a golder age were warm and friendly! Place is immaculate. Prices were very competitive. It's out of my way to go over the bass river bridge. But, today was great. And their carts are all new.
