We love our new mailbox and granite post! Our original mailbox post was on its last legs and we knew we wanted something beautiful and durable. While we looked at a couple of different companies, we chose Yankee because their pricing was very clear and they offered a full installation (rather than requiring us to prepare the hole for the post). They got back to us quickly after our initial inquiry, set clear expectations, and it was installed about a week after we received the official quote/confirmation. I was a little wary about why the mailbox itself was so expensive, but it is honestly a beautiful/sturdy mailbox and we definitely got the quality we paid for. Overall, we are thrilled and would recommend Yankee Mailbox.

The reviews saying the communication is subpar is accurate, but I went in expecting that. That being said - the installer showed up yesterday and was very friendly! He called while I was at work to discuss options for placement due to the sprinkler being very close to the mailbox. He could have just plopped it in where the old box was, but he wanted to ensure I was happy on all counts. When I got home, I had a beautiful mailbox installed level and properly spaced from the road. Excellent! If you order from them knowing there may be minimal communication until installation, you WILL be happy!

After reading all these reviews about communication issues with Yankee Mailbox, I was prepared for a long wait. I had received an email saying delivery would be within 4 weeks. This past Thursday was 4 weeks. Yesterday (Friday) I came home to find my new mailbox! So, I got it in 4 weeks and 1 day and Monday was a holiday. So I'd say that delivery was right on schedule!

This company won’t answer their phone and their product is inferior. Do not do business with them. My first negative review ever so you know it’s bad.

The 3 start rating reflects the average of a 5 star superior quality, professionally installed product and a 1 star rating for horrible responsiveness.We were promised a 4 week deliveryand at 6 weeks I started emailing asking for an update. My several emails were simply ignored. Then at 8 weeks I got an email saying they would be here the next day. They were and the mailbox is beautiful. All they had to do was respond to my inquiries and they’d get 5 starts. I don’t understand why their management doesn’t get this. They must read the reviews. We all say the same thing.

This was one of the most interesting experiences I have ever had. The product is fantastic, the installers are wonderful and everything came as expected and turned out great. The funniest thing was how I ordered it at the beginning of June, got an order receipt, heard nothing until the end of August, and they just randomly showed up one day almost three months later in the truck, pulled up and started taking my mailbox out of the ground and installing without even saying anything. I mean look at the end of the day they did everything I wanted and I guess I really didn't need to be involved per se and it was great but I followed up a few times on status never heard anything back and just so funny how I ordered, hear nothing for 3 months, then everything randomly happens like magic and it's all perfect. LOL Highly recommend if you aren't on a tight timeline, and are laid back about this stuff.

this is our 2nd time using Yankee Mailbox (2 separate houses) the installation was about 5 weeks from when I placed the order. the 2 gentlemen that installed the post and mailbox were very friendly and professional. we're very happy with the result

I agree with all of the reviews complaining about customer service. My mailbox started rusting a couple of months after installation and they won’t return phone calls or emails. For the ridiculously high price that we paid, you’d think the mailbox would’ve lasted more than a couple of months and the fact that they are non-responsive is extremely frustrating. I would not recommend this company.

For the prices they charge for their mailboxes you would think they would have some better customer service. they do not answer the phone nor do they return phone calls (I had placed over 5 phone calls and left messages). They also hardly reply to their emails either. They had left me no choice but to be firm with them to get them to reply to my emails. They also had installed the mailbox a week after the original planned installation date. it is a good quality product but very poor communication and customer service as well as high prices.

These guys are awesome. They love what they do and take great care in doing the job right. Superb quality and a fabulous look. With lousy weather this summer, it took a little while to get the install date finalized but well worth the wait.

I can't speak to the final product as I have been desperately trying to get a new mailbox installed from Yankee since Nov 2020 to no avail. They do not answer e-mails more than MAYBE once every few months (no exaggeration). My only ability to contact them would be submitting a new "request for quote" online. Read other reviews - when you see "non-existent customer service" it is spot on. I was looking for a full install of a new mailbox with granite post (close to a $1000 job) and apparently these guys have so much business they could care less. I called Walpole Woodworkers, got someone on the phone, had all of my questions answered and booked an install a few weeks out literally all within 2 hours this afternoon. A mailbox is a mailbox at the end of the day, but I would literally put a cardboard box on the street to collect mail before I would give ANY business to Yankee Mailbox.
