As a new patient I was able to get my dog in with in days. The staff worked well with helping my anxious dog with her ear ache. We will be returning.

The doctor and attendant were both kind, professional, and helpful. The doctor appeared genuinely concerned about Barnacle and followed up with calls for two days. The staff and the care they provide my animals are why we keep going there.

They’re awful since they’ve been bought out by Thrive. I took my dog in for a skin infection and he is prone to ear infections , the vet that saw us told me if something else happened with his ear to call and she would be happy to get us medicine. I called and of course that is not the case and they want him to be seen. She didn’t give him antibiotics when I was there for his skin INFECTION cause she didn’t want to upset his tummy. I am going through a divorce and literally was told by Toni that “your husbands already replaced you”. Do you think anyone would want to hear that from a receptionist at your vets office? The vet also wasn’t going to send me home with any mousse for his skin and told me to order it online. They absolutely suck. I asked them to fax my records to another vet and they emailed them to me instead, cause apparently a simple request to forward records is even too much for them to handle. When they were westside, I used to be taken care of promptly and with care for my dogs , now they just want to get as much money from you as possible.

I was not happy with my last vet, and the way they treated my American pitbull terrier, the sweetest girl in the world, Maggie.
Westside was recommended to me by our trainer, as a place that was welcoming to “scary” breeds, and even though it was a bit of a drive-we took a chance.
I AM SO HAPPY THAT WE DID. I can’t say enough good things about this practice, and everyone who works there. They are so kind and understanding-and they aren’t afraid of her. They didn’t slap a muzzle on her at first sight, and write her off as aggressive before even spending a minute with her, just because she is a Pitbull. They got to know her. They realized that she is just nervous, and excited, and she doesn’t want to sit still because there are so many new friends to say hi to-instead of rushing through her appointments and being annoyed by this-they get down on the ground and sit with her. And talk to her. And give her treats and tell her what a good girl she is. For way longer than any other vet would. They try everything until they find what works for your specific dog-they aren’t a “one solution fits all” kind of place. And it might seem minor-but they are genuinely happy and smile when they see her. Which is huge when you’re used to people crossing the street to avoid you, but you have a dog who wants to be friends with every human that she sees. It makes me so happy that they actually see her for the good girl that she is. They’re understanding, they’re patient, and everyone there seems to truly love animals.
If you have a bully breed, or another large breed that people think is scary-and you’re not happy with your current vet-COME HERE. You won’t regret it!

My Nellie was ill and Westside Animal Clinic took me that same day. The receptionist was courteous , caring and efficient as was the other staff and The Vet Dr. G. We had a follow up visit two days later and the insurance basically paid for itself. I highly recommend this clinic and getting the insurance if you’ll be going more than once a year.

My senior cat was recently diagnosed by Dr. Kawai with diabetes. I was SO nervous about giving him insulin shots! Everyone, and I mean everyone, from Dr. Kawai on down has been SO supportive and helpful in teaching me how to deal with this. I now give him his shots confidently. The staff has also been great about explaining all the steps I now need to take to keep him in good health with this newly diagnosed condition. ? Thank you all!

Be careful: If you come with any stress or anxiety over your pup receptionist Toni might have zero patience for you and question if you're capable for a follow up appointment.

I have two dogs who have been patients at Westside since I adopted them. The clinic and staff have always been very responsive to anything within 24 hours, often within 1-2 hours. They are always willing to accommodate scheduling needs and work within your budget, and never make you feel guilty for not having thousands at the drop of a hat for unexpected care. They work amazingly with my highly anxious dog and offered holistic, comprehensive solutions to manage his anxiety, while also being open to pharmacological intervention. They call to follow up on how the pups are doing, even after routine visits with just vaccines, and they do not rush you out of the exam room if you have questions or concerns. I cannot say enough positive things!!

The staff minus one young lady were not friendly or nice in anyway. They rolled their eyes when I walked in and couldn’t seem bothered to ask what I needed help with. I would never ever bring my dog here.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our beloved cat of 12 years. The team here showed great compassion, care and kindness. As difficult as the process was, they made it just a little bit easier. I was able to hold my old man in my arms as he went.

Took plenty of time to evaluate my dog . We were not rushed out . The ladies at the reception desk were equally as helpful . Highly recommended .

Westside is ok we’ve been going here for years and it used to be a lot better. Now it always feels that they are more interested in adding additional services to drive up the bill than having genuine interest in making sure our animals are healthy.
