One of the 4 Tertiary Care Hospitals in Massachusetts, meaning they can treat a heart attack and save a patient. The other 3 are Mass General, Brigham and Women's, and Beth Israel Boston. I really wish Cape Cod Hospital was a Tertiary Care hospital also and that there was at least one West of Worcester near Pittsfield.

Emergency waiting room is disgusting. Waiting 4 hours or so with floors all sticky, people throwing up on the floor, people coughing sneezing wiping their boogers with their hands to then touch the seat and vending machines, and doors. Staff walk around like its nothing

My father is 83 and has dementia. He was rushed to the ER and was moved into the CCU. The doctors and nurses were caring and wonderful as we made the difficult decision to let my father go. They were caring and kind. The chaplain came in to check on us. A priest came in to give my father last rites. They made sure we had food, drinks, snacks, and as many comforts as they could while we stayed with my father. They could not have made this difficult situation any more comfortable than they did. Thank you to the staff at UMass at Belmont St… We appreciate you.

I cant say enough positive things about the staff at Memorial. After decades ago of being born in the same hospital, we just had a baby here recently and the staff was above and beyond. Yeah I get its a older and dated building but the staff is what keeps it going. There were so many helping hands in the process, I couldnt remember the names of the ones that helped. I hope this somehow gets to you, just wanted to show our gratitude for your truly exceptional service, happy to come back again.

My Mother Complained About Her "Supervisor" "Boss" Whatever Making Comments About Her Having HIV. I Don't Know If She Quit Or Got Fired But She Doesn't Work There Anymore. Seems Like They All May Have Some Issues. Cat And Mouse Not Good Enough To Work As An Employee Because Of The Image You Bring To The Place. Place Is Getting Shut Down Just Like The Rest Of Them So You All Go And Scratch Up Your Medical Supplies And Prescriptions While They Last.

I was an outpatient in the ER, had about a 4 hour wait which was fine and expected and I felt I had great care from Dr. Church and his medical team. The one star is for the financial dept who 3 weeks later sent me a bill for several thousand dollars. When i went to the itemized bill the line item for my insurance said 0.00. I checked in the MyChart app and confirmed that they had my correct insurance info and they did leading me to believe my insurance actually paid nothing. The only way to contact the hospital that i could find was through the my chart app so i sent them a message and of course they sent me this bill at 7am on a Sunday so my insurance and the billing dept was closed. Monday morning, still not having heard back from the hospital i called my insurance and they told me that they had never received a bill. She called the hospital on my behalf and within 5 mins had my bill fully paid. So tell me why the financial department isn’t billing insurances and instead is sending people bills asking them to pay several thousand dollars. Also, they didn’t get back to me on the my chart app for 4 days. Is the hospitals business plan to give people heart attacks to ensure a steady inflow of patients?? Do better.

No matter what campus you go to, they all suck! 8-9 hour wait, no communication, snd could use a few lessons on triage. Clinton campus was great when it wasn’t affiliated with UMass.

I just had one of the most horrible experiences with one of the anesthesiologist. He didnt want to provide his name after being really rude to me and my family member who was the patient. The nurse was really kind but he was horrible, I wish i had his name to put in a formal complaint. It was a tall indian man from the anesthesia deparment.

If I was able to give a 0 I would. Waited over 4 hours & was not even placed in a room. There was a patient bleeding all over the floor & none of the staff came to help her. Another person had to come & complain about it for the staff to respond that poor lady STILL waited another 20 minutes while the staff sat there looking at her bleed. This happened on Jan 3 at 7-8pm absolutely DISGUSTING.

They obviously can't afford to clean the facilities or hire polite/professional staff... but they can afford to pay the CEO $3+ million ever year. This would make a fascinating case study, on how corporate healthcare leads to higher costs and lower quality of care for patients. Not to mention the lower wages for patient-facing employees, while executives fill their pockets and laugh all the way to the bank.
