The Open Sky Community Services organization is a non-profit that provides support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Recently, allegations have arisen against Director Samantha Aikey for stealing money from members, unethical behavior, and involuntarily dismissing mentally disabled members without due process. As a result, it is imperative that Open Sky take disciplinary action against and remove Director Aikey from her position.Firstly, stealing money from members is a serious offense that cannot be ignored. This is especially concerning as Open Sky is a non-profit organization that relies on donations and grants to operate. Any misappropriation of funds goes against the values of the organization and undermines the trust of the community.Secondly, the allegations of unethical behavior cannot be overlooked. As a Director, Samantha Aikey is responsible for ensuring that all actions taken by the organization are ethical and legal. Any behavior that goes against these principles is unacceptable and could damage the reputation of the organization and its ability to provide services to the community.Thirdly, the involuntary dismissal of mentally disabled members without due process is a violation of their rights and goes against the mission of Open Sky. It is the responsibility of the organization to provide support and care to all members, regardless of their mental or physical abilities. Involuntary dismissal without due process could lead to harm and a lack of support for these individuals, which is unacceptable.Furthermore, it is important to note that Director Samantha Aikey does not possess the necessary formal education or training to retain her position. The Director of an organization such as Open Sky must have the qualifications and experience necessary to effectively lead the organization and provide support to its members. Without proper education and training, Director Aikey may not be equipped to make informed decisions that are in the best interest of the organization and its members. In conclusion, the allegations of stealing money from members, unethical behavior, and involuntary dismissal of mentally disabled members without due process are serious offenses that cannot be ignored. These actions go against the values and mission of Open Sky and could harm the community. Additionally, Director Samantha Aikey's lack of formal education and training makes it difficult for her to effectively lead the organization. Therefore, it is imperative that Open Sky takes disciplinary action against and removes Director Aikey from her position. This will ensure that the organization can continue to provide the necessary support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Open Sky employs people who live one way by day and totally contrary by night. Employees having affairs with new hires, harassing and threatening members of society and when brought to the attention of Ms. Matiske she chose to ignore the employees behavior that continues to escalate.I think Mr Bates needs to be brought into the loop and be aware of such disgraceful behavior by staff.

Staff is rude and conniving, even the house managers and director, right from the beginning. All the good staff leave. Upper management covers managers when they do something wrong. Willful ignorance. Nothing good to say about them. Demeaning.

They have a terrible system for helping the individuals in this program. Not only is it super “woke” but it’s honestly the worst place for someone with problems to be. They practically let them do whatever they want (particularly at the alsada program). They let them get high, the workers are unprofessional and act like children. Worst place to ever work at. No one cares for the individuals they all merely pretend too. Might as well be called prison guards not counselors. Place is garbage.

My severely autistic son has been in the care of open sky residential services for over a year. He has shown growth in the last year beyond anything he made in 19 years at a very sophisticated private school for autism. OK, that's an exaggeration. But my son has shown tremendous progress with ADLs, non-verbal communication, and reduced aggression in the past year. His house manager is incredible. The dedicated staff are Amazing. We (parents) work as a team as much as possible with his residential team. I feel blessed every day for what they have done for my son. Having a team of grown men, who take their job seriously, is, I believe, the key for my son.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I’ve never been so disappointed in a system designed to better people’s mental health when I have plateaued so far in my recovery due to the shortcomings and negligence of Open Sky Community Services. They failed to protect me and I was subjected to far more trauma under their care than before I sought help from them. They knowingly moved my perpetrator, who I met in their group home, across the street from me. The system is flawed in their housing policies, if there even is one set in place. I now have to essentially start over in my recovery from PTSD since I am constantly exposed to my biggest trigger. I have been placed directly in harm’s way and if it wasn’t for my own determination and resilience, I would not be able to recover from this. Safety needs to be prioritized, especially when dealing with vulnerable people and I pray to God that they seriously reevaluate the way they handle such matters to prevent a crisis like this from happening again. I also need to reevaluate who I choose to trust because clearly I made a huge error in judgement. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone and I hope serious changes are put in place following this mistake. I’m so physically and emotionally drained and enraged that I’m having to relive my trauma as a result of Open Sky’s disregard for my safety.

Had a friend that lived here who is finally out (thank god). She called me multiple times saying that there wasn't any food for the clients to eat and that incontinent clients weren't being cared for proper. I brought her boxes of food whenever I could but with 8 hungry clients it went quick. Now that she's out they give her the run around with her meds and gave her the wrong food stamp card when she left. The proper food stamp card they refuse to give back. Multiple med errors as well. She was being bothered by one of the clients and they refused to intervene as well. She was told "staff won't help you in the real world"

They Build you up a tall building, tall full of lies ,full of empty promises of services they have available for people struggling, and then they push you off that very tall building, into the Open Sky. So you can fall flat on your face and potentially , you know.Steer clear of these people. They are not here to help.and hurt more than they help. Only good reviews are from affiliates
