“Well, where do we start? Downtown Worcester has had a decreasing number of options for grocery shopping. This is true especially for those with limited budget. There is one good steadfast exception however, and that is Gala Foods. This is a nice little market that ticks many boxes. It's proximity to both Downtown as well as other peripheral neighborhoods. It's also very affordable and offers many options for a range of shoppers. The fresh food section is excellent and has options you won't find in those main stream stores that aren't so close by. This makes Gala a win for Worcester and it's diverse residents.”

“What a great spot. Always positive people behind the counter. Very personable. We stop here every Friday after work. They have a massive variety of spirits,wines, and beers. I've been coming here for years and it feels like family. Not to mention the smoke shop in the same building for all your smoking needs. Cheap cigarettes and amazing cigars. Your one stop shop for all your needs.”
“@Warzone Clipz, that's because MA has specialized IDs for those old enough to purchase alcohol, some places might accept OOS IDs, but the guy at El Coqui isn't going to do that. He followed rules, so your rating is ignorant. Get the proper ID for Massachusetts. El Coqui is a great store, and the owner is great too. His regulars love him and for a good reason!”

“This store carries a variety of beers and liquors, the prices are very reasonable, the staff very friendly and helpful.
The downside is it opens at 9:30 am every day and remains open until 11:00 pm Thursday -Saturday
Monday- Wednesday they close at 10:00 pm
Sunday they close at 8:00 pm”
“Me and wife have been going here for years!!! The prices are spot on and the staff is amazing! We live downtown and walk and Uber everywhere! My wife just made a huge purchase and one of the clerks was nice enough to drive my wife and the purchase home!!! I don’t know any other liquor store that would do this!!!”

“I'm hardly ever in Worcester. But was driving by and needed beer and snacks. This is a smaller store. Decent selection of chilled 6-packs. They had Red Stripe, so that made me happy. The snack selection was extremely limited.”
