Years ago, I was asked to leave the store because I played Stairway to Heaven on a cheap guitar. Would YOU kick a paying customer out of your store for that? Anyway, I've never been back and will never return. In addition, I share my experience with as many people as I can. This guy is miserable, and is also, well, you know!

Zero stars if I could. I needed to waste some time before going to an appointment so I checked out a few basses. The owner is pushy, likes to handle the instruments himself, and consistently talks down to me. "I know the history of Fender" and "So you think I should ask more for it?" I'm sorry dude. The sale ain't happening.

Very friendly and fair prices. Haven't played my guitar in 2+ years and wanted to get back into it. Set me up with a great amp, strings and helped fix a broken tuning peg. Knowledgeable and not pushy at all.

New Customer "set up" experience review upon home inspection. Positives: String height set up is good, issue with buzzing on high E string reported at drop off fixed, body appears waxed, frets shining, guitar plays well. Negatives: Fine tuners on Floyd bridge screwed 80% of the way down and unlevel, Dtuna pulled out in drop D position with low E string tuned to E (backwards). Input jack extremely loose, locking nut screws all loose (left unlocked). I'd equate my experience to picking up my car at the repair shop and upon retrieving my vehicle the hood, trunk and gas cap door were all open, along with the gas cap being barely tightened down, yet the engine repair was on point. So from what I gathered upon home inspection the job was mainly incomplete. Having to break out my tools at home immediately following a setup gets me steamed. Just some mindfulness and attention to detail and that could all be avoided. That's my honest review of my 1st Performance Music Center experience.

The man behind the counter completely mansplained the concept of guitar cables to me. For context, I am also a man and know a thing or two about guitar cables.

I've been a customer of Joe's now for probably the better part of 10 years. The service is impeccable, the atmosphere is extremely comfortable, the instrument and product knowledge is out of this world phenomenal. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else to buy gear, ask opinions, or have service done.I've bought a G&L Solamente, Peavey amps, and now own a Composite Acoustic, all purchased from Performance Music. They built my custom acoustic pedalboard. I also rent a PA from them whenever I am performing acoustic. Its THE best place around, hands down!!!

I was told by an employee that I could bring in my 7 string guitar to sell so I decided to come back in. As soon as I took the guitar out, the owner immediately started being condescending. He asked how much I wanted and I said “well I bought it for $900 so” and then he cut me off and says “I don’t care. How much do you want?” I thought it was rude but told him and then he just told me no one plays 7 strings anymore even thought they’re more popular now than before. Then he says “not interested sorry”. Wasted my time by the other employee telling me I could bring it in.

I'm posting down the line after being reminded of my experience at this shop. I was looking for a Gibson LP or SG and wanted to try a one on the wall out. When speaking to an associate about trying it he advised me that they do not let just anyone "put their grubby hands on the guitars". I decided to not touch anything and backed out of the store and bought a classic elsewhere.I wasn't initially phased by the shops demeanor but the interaction stuck with me. I sincerely advise you to avoid this shop as a veteran or new player alike.

Went there to get some strings. The guys are very nice and welcoming. They have some really nice gear there and are happy to help you. Also they do the maintenance of tube amps.

Taking ukulele lessons with Ron for a couple of months now and I love it! The owner also was able to make my lefty uke electric by adding a passive pickup! I love it and them! Great staff!!!
