“It would be great if you could add the “Caldo do Dia” option to Grubhub’s menu. They’re delicious and I don't go to the store often, I order online. Thank you!”

“Produce is special, especially the lettuce. A bit towards convenience store prices, but best quality. Close enough that at current car mileage/expense rates, it pays for itself for me for short shopping lists. Some amazing local treats, like the coconut cashews, cracker combos, heat-n-eat dishes, super-tasty dips, spices, meat counter. True New England country store...a little of everything, and good. If you have to run out for a get together bbq or weekend fillers or a made sammich, fantastic.”

“This place makes some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. My new favorite is the Salami and Mozzarella sandwich. Even out of season the tomato is always super fresh and nice, crisp lettuce and amazing dressing. Everyone is super friendly inside. Makes me happy to support a small local business. Thanks for everything, you guys are the best!”

“In reality, I would give this 4/5, because (besides meat), the selection is extremely limited. However, their meat selection and the prices are strong enough to override any issues I have. Also, the staff are always so kind and nice. I love this place”

“We go to AP all the time... the Dot location is cozy and the employees are off-the-charts nice. Quality of gourmet groceries, deli meats/cheese, and wine/beer/liquor selection are all phenomenal. I bought several people xmas gifts this year that were just little baskets full of things entirely from AP. Owner Matt went above and beyond when there was a mixup with something we ordered, dropping off a gift to our home. This is the sort of stuff that neighborhood patrons don't forget!”

“Never cease to amaze me how delicious these sausages are, I’m 61, and remember my grandpa Fred Boudrot, bringing them home and my grandma Betty putting them in her spaghetti sauce on Wednesdays spaghetti night. Will definitely be enjoying these for the next few weeks.”

“A Great place to make money (or the opposite), my partner said. Customers are standing in the store - appeared to wait in line, but, the 2 employees did not have any meat to work with. just standing around, too. How so? ?No MEAT or any refrigerators, It appeared they were waiting for the white door to open to enter.”

“? TOPSFIELD FAIR FIND - TOPSFIELD FAIR FINDONN Specialties LLC Crispy Beef Jerky. I have become addicted and about done with my second bag. Tomorrow I will be back to get more!I wasn't sure I was going to like this to be honest. The reason I love jerky is because of the texture and getting to gnaw on a piece. However, getting something crispy, close to a chip but all protein? I was in. Flavor is incredible and I finished the mango in one day. Now I am well into the spicy teriyaki. The lemon pepper is REALLY good too. I highly recommend for anyone that loves jerky or is on a low carb or high protein diet to check these out!”

“I was looking for a fairly hard cut to get and of course, Savenor's could provide. It was a 3 lb lamb shoulder. Even my local butcher couldn't get it for me this time. I was thrilled to get it. I was getting a delivery from Savenor's (they deliver to Boston neighborhoods. Maybe other towns, but I don't know) and it came on time and the order was accurate. I wanted to get my order over $99 so I could have a delivery discount, so I added some meats I would usually buy anyways and I threw in a couple different types of sausages they make. The reason I feel motivated to write this review is because of the Chorizo they delivered. OMG!!! I think it may very well be the most delicious sausage I've ever had. Not kidding. So good! Can't wait to taste the lamb after we smoke it, shred it, put it on pita with feta, tzaziki I'll make, lettuce and some juicy tomatoes. I'm pretty sure the lamb will also be amazing. Get yourself to Savenor's if you're looking for interesting cuts of meat that the supermarkets don't have and for their amazing sausage.”

“Okay, you first walk in and you see weird stuff like goat and sheep's heads. You smell the meat. The atmosphere is a little grimy, since it is parked right next door to Haymarket. The smell of funky cheese from a few doors down does not help. By far, this place does not look like much of anything. But first impressions are deceiving. This place is a hidden gem. The shop is over a hundred years old and it is a true, old school butcher. For the uninitiated, that means you are not going to find ground beef neatly packaged in styrofoam, but rather an "everything but the oink/moo/cluck/gobble/baa" mentality; they even will sell you a whole goat or sheep to roast on a spit. My advice is to stick around. I myself rave about this place because I got the perfect sized turkey for Thanksgiving, fresh kill, freshly butchered. It was succulent and excellent quality! Even if they don't have what you want in stock, they can get it to you within a few days, and again, they butcher EVERY MEAT OR FOWL KNOWN TO MAN. (You do have to verbally ask for some of their items, since the fridge is in the back as is where the butchering is done: they bring it to you.) They cater to both immigrant and local tastes, something Savenor's does not, and it is worth it-the Vietnamese guy gets his tripe to make pho, you get your prized rib roast, and the Puerto Rican walks out happily carrying a whole suckling pig she has carefully wrapped up to take home for Christmas dinner. Go on, give it a chance. Do what I did and go in advance for the holiday meal. Have your turkey or goose safely waiting for you and eat like a king while idiots fight over a frozen Butterball or a crown roast of meh from Shaw's. Poke at the goat meat, and then learn it tastes like lamb and actually would be a treat if used in a stew recipe. Go look up an old recipe of Julia Child's from the 1950's and realize that the foot of a cow was the old way to get gelatin and if all the instant stuff at the supermarket suddenly goes poof, you are going to be fine: the 100+ year old butcher shop that is older than Savenor's still has the foot, weird though that is.”

“This is our go-to for freshly butchered meats. It's not a full on grocery store, so it's a place to go for your full shopping list (paper products, cleaning things, etc) but it's worth it for the variety of proteins. Staff is very friendly and the butchers will take special orders if you call.”

4.3 Superb108 Reviews

“Solid butcher. Has an array of fresh meat options (whole chicken, wings, legs, sausages, and steaks) as well as some cold items, fresh vegetables, and pantry staples. The place is immaculately clean. Prices are very reasonable. Bilingual signage and staff. Skip Shaw's and get your meat from the local butcher.”

“Fantastic artisan sandwiches. The roast beef (deli style, not North Shore, nor Chicago) was incredible. The balance of flavors with the truffle, rosemary, and horseradish was a perfect combination. These were clearly high quality and carefully curated ingredients. The fact that it came with potato salad was a pleasant surprise bonus.Additionally, they sell a select amount of craft beer, local cheeses, and high-end wines too. Perfect to spend more money while you wait for your amazing sandwich to be prepared haha. The staff was also very inviting.”

“Super great experience here! Appointment was for 0200; got here at 0130; went to the blue door where I was greeted by a worker who politely helped me sign in and within minutes I was in a dock before my appointment time. Instantly they started unloading me and within an hour I was unloaded :)”

“There are two live poultry shops in Chinatown but I've only ever shopped at this one. If you've ever eaten soy sauce chicken or scallion/ginger chicken at a Cantonese restaurant, they are most likely using what they call Brown Chicken at this shop. This is a breed of chicken that Cantonese folks tend to use and is characterized by its bright vibrant yellow skin. The meat is a firmer than your Costco chicken and has more chicken taste. Prior to the pandemic I recall buying them for $3.20/lb and now in 2023 they are going for $3.60/lb. Chickens tend to be around 5-6 pounds so expect to spend around $20/chicken. My family has been buying from here for years.Tip: cash only.”

“This story is great for all Indians people who love Indian spices and food. They have wide variety of spices and snacks. The meat is freshly cut into tiny pieces which will be ready to cook. Even though I live 20 minutes away from the store I still go there to buy chicken”
