The staff is really friendly, the location is also perfect for a suburban area. It is close to a railway station and also a bus station that takes you directly to the airport.

Avis saves the day!During a road trip to Boston for a race, our car broke down when we were leaving. After working through tons of logistics to rent a car to get back home, no one would accept a debit card except Avis. Huge lifesaver and the entire experience from the phone rep who found us a vehicle, to the pickup counter agent, and through the easy return, Avis made it simple and ensured we got home.

I gave Avis a second chance only to get disappointed again.tl;dr: 1. The car wasn't there. 2. The voucher for a complimentary rental didn't work.1. My flight arrived at 11:30pm at Albuquerque. I got an email that a car is waiting for me in one of the preferred stalls. However, when I arrived at the car rental facility at 12:30am, the car wasn't there. Nor was there anyone at the preferred counter. I had to go back to the regular counter and wait to get another car.2. After an earlier disastrous Avis experience (car broke down in the middle of a desert and I had to pay 1.2K out of pocket to get back to the airport), I was given a voucher for complementary rental. Okay, maybe I should give Avis a second chance, right?Tried to apply the voucher at the time of booking: nope, didn't work.Called customer service before the trip to apply the voucher: nope, didn't work. They could technically do it, but in doing so they'd need to release my existing reservation and make a new one, but the location is out of cars.Called customer service after the trip to apply the coupon: nope, didn't work. Can't apply after the trip.

Avis Car Rental in Woburn was a COMPLETE DISASTER when I rented a 12-passenger van for my Girl Scouts. I reserved a 12-passenger van in January, 2023 for a trip we were planning in August. When I picked up the van on the contract date, it has 4 soft tires, 2 of them completely bald with NO TREAD at all. The van needed maintenance and the "check engine" light was illuminated on the dashboard. The vehicle registration EXPIRED 5 MONTHS AGO!The customer service representative told me that it wasn't her fault the vehicle was in poor condition, as nobody at that location EVER checked the vehicle when it arrived, they do NOT perform maintenance on any vehicle, "the computer said" the registration and maintenance were up to date. There was nothing she could do to fix the situation, as she was "too busy" to help me. She was eventually able to locate another 12 passenger van at the airport approximately 18-20 miles away, but nobody at Avis would be able to deliver the vehicle for me, as they were "too busy" and didn't have any drivers. I, therefore, had to take additional time out of my evening to drive this unregistered, bald-tired, flat-tired van in need of regularly-scheduled maintenance to pick up a new vehicle for my trip. I ended up getting a ride (there was NO WAY I was driving that van out of the lot) to pick up a safe vehicle to transport my 10 Girl Scouts on our trip.With few options, as I needed a 12-passenger van and it was now after 6:30pm when most businesses were closed and I was scheduled to depart at 9am on the following day, I felt completely helpless and didn't know what to do. I needed a 12-passenger van and had no other option that I could think of at that time.The Logan Airport Avis team was very patient and I was given an acceptable vehicle for my Girl Scout trip. It still took an additional 2 hours out of my evening that I had planned to use to prepare for my trip.However, I will NEVER recommend Avis Car Rental on Commerce Way in Woburn, MA to ANYONE! It was a horrific experience and definitely not worth 4 hours of my time just to pick up a safe rental vehicle.

They're tryna now count your credit score to rent and it doesn't Say it on the website so I booked a rental in advance and now that I need it I'm stuck tryna figure something else out I'll never book with them again

I just want to say that I had a wonderful experience with Avis on Saturday afternoon. My wife and I were in a real bind for a car. We got to Avis as they were closing at 1pm. A woman named Devora helped us and stayed a half hour late to take care of us. It was such a pleasure dealing with her. And I will make sure I only use Avis from now on. For someone to go out of their way after closing shows real customer service. Something that is so lacking in the big companies. But she did. I hope someone reads this and acknowledges her and her great attitude and wonderful customer service.Frank And Rachel Gratale

The lady at front desk was very helpful and ensured that I got the same price even after there were some issues with my code. Also I got a SUV at the price of sedan. Overall process was very smooth.

Last month I went to pick up a car that I prepaid. I made it there right before they were going to close on Friday. I had some issues with my credit card company and although I was not able to pick up the rental, Damara was incredibly patient and kind as I tried to get the issue with CapitalOne resolved. By the time I left it was nearly 6:30pm and she did not seem the least bit annoyed. Damara was also very helpful in walking me through the refund process. I will definitely be back next time I need a rental.If you see this D, I hope your daughter found her gown! :)

No after hours pick up or drop off so we had to pay 3 days rental for a transit van we needed for ~1 day due to memorial day and the time of day we needed it.20m wait to pick up.20m wait to drop it off.Rental was dirty inside with sand when we picked it up which wasn't a big deal for us. We brought our two dogs in the vana nd they charged a punitive cleaning fee for pet hair upon return. At least they reduced the cleaning fee from punitive $450 to ~$200 on top of the ~$500 rental. As is their right per fine print and it turns out on a small sign on the counter.Just as it is our right to never do business with them again.

Terrible costumer service I went with my grandfather to pick up his rental the lady at the desk seemed like she didn't want to be there and not only was the costumer service terrible she overcharged him and he's now fighting to get his money back she would charge his card weekly whenever he would extend then proceeded to charge him for the full 21 days even though he had already paid

Booked online, very easy process. Asked for and paid for a 4 door sedan, expected a Camry or such. Got an Audi. That was a pleasant surprise. Prices were very good, no "surprises" from original booking. Desk staff was friendly and quick.
