I've been going to Athletic Edge off and on for two years because of multiple injuries--or only one if you consider an aging body as the cause. The physical therapists have been wonderful. Easy to work with, concerned about my pain, and great at developing programs to help rehabilitate my injuries. The facility is fine. They have all the necessary equipment and they schedule so that patients don't have to compete for equipment. I haven't been to any other physical therapy facilities, so I don't know how Athletic Edge compares to others, but I do know that the facility doesn't matter when the therapists are wonderful. That's what really matters, and Athletic Edge has great therapists.

When I first went to Mark at Athletic Edge, I was in pain doing mundane things. I was hobbling around like a 95 year old. Mark evaluated me and identified my orthopedic problems. I appreciated his clear explanations and analysis. After just 2.5 months of therapy my problems were gone and I felt like a new person. I was amazed and grateful. Any time I hear of someone who needs a PT, I recommend Mark at Athletic Edge.

I am so grateful to the team at Athletic Edge! As a competitive runner who underwent peroneal tendon repair surgery, I had lofty goals to still complete my scheduled Fall marathon. Everyone I worked with at AE took my return-to-run plan seriously, and I was able to get my strength back and actually feel more confident running on my ankle than I had prior to surgery. Ten months to the day post-op, I ended up running my first sub-3:00 marathon! Very grateful.

I love Athletic Edge. Not only are the staff so friendly and kind, but they offer such helpful guided advice! My hip was injured for 3 years before coming to Mark, but then it was fixed after finally discovering the right PT! They are so nice and always willing to help via email too if you don’t see them regularly! Highly recommend!

They take rehab for an overweight 71 year old as seriously as an athlete's. My doctor says my recovery is ahead of the curve.

Review coming from a former athlete with a history of orthopedic injuries who's been to 3+ PT clinics in different states - Athletic Edge is the best PT clinic I've been to. Extremely knowledgeable staff that's happy to answer any and all questions; they emphasize soft tissue work in addition to the "exercises" you expect from PT. On top of that, they're fun people who make you feel like a person trying to get better, not a number the insurance company gave them. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Initially I went to Athletic Edge PT during the pandemic on a recommendation from a friend for help recovering from a hip injury. Mark and Dave and the rest of the team were able to get me to a point where I could function in daily life without pain most of the time. When I didn't recover 100% Mark referred me to some hip specialists who agreed with him that I have a shallow hip socket on my left side, but also saw on new imaging that I have osteoarthritis as well. So, now I have both non-invasive (PT) and more invasive options (injections and surgery) for dealing with my hip pain. So far, I am choosing to continue with the weight training and physical therapy taught to me by the team at Athletic Edge PT, and avoiding activities that aggravate my arthritis.A year or so ago when I had a frozen shoulder I didn't hesitate to return to the care of Mark and Dave in Woburn. Parking is easy, the doctors and staff are extremely knowledgable and willing to work with their patients to find the right treatment plan, and/or refer them to other trusted experts when appropriate. I completely trust them with my aging joints, and will return when inevitably my next joint begins to deteriorate (thanks to genetics, computer work, and competitive gymnastics).

They are a terrific team ! I got an excellent assessment and PT plan from Juliana for my sprained ankle with the goal of getting back on the soccer field asap. She worked closely with me and ensured I had the correct instruction to continue the PT at home, this allowed me to make fast and continuous progress. Not all Sports medicine takes older women seriously, but athletic edge treated me as any other athlete trying to get healthy and back on the field. While they are for anyone, not just athletes, this respect for my fitness goals was so appreciated and Juliana was knowledgeable and personable as well. I would highly recommend!

Initially I went to another PT ~ which was dumb- I had worked with Mark ages ago and knew first hand what a great PT practice he runs. I switched to Athletic Edge and was much happier for it. Mark and his staff truly understood my recovery goals and how to help me get there. They explained clearly what each exercise would help me achieve in my recovery and how to work towards full, pain free mobility.

Athletic Edge is by far the best PT practice I have ever been to. They do indeed do things a bit differently, which helps in the healing and recovery process. I felt safe in the hands of Julianna and I knew she would not push me beyond my limits (but she did push me forward as needed). This is the first time I have felt like PT has actually helped. I am so much stronger and even more confident, physically. The entire staff is amazing and I couldn’t recommend them enough. 5/5 stars!

This place is top notch! The team is highly experienced, professional and adept at assessing and treating a variety of injuries. I had physical therapy from Mark for the past year for a torn labrum and FAI of the hip (6 months of prehab and 6 months after surgery). I was particularly impressed how Mark was able to personalize a physical therapy plan for my specific injury, which I did not get from other places that gave me a standard "one size fits all" set of exercises without really assessing the situation. The Athletic Edge plan was progressive, successfully targeted the problem areas, provided relief and strengthened the affected areas, so that could get back to the activities that I enjoy. Two thumbs up for Athletic Edge Physical Therapy!!
