The Gables is a very welcoming community. The care and attention they give to each resident is wonderful. The assimilation of new residents is a success. Bonds with peers along with activities and a skilled staff make this place a gem!

Not all angels reside in heaven many walk the earth. The Gables in Winchester is a wonderful caring facility. My brother was there for 3 years. He was a quite person but he met so many wonderful people residents and staff that brought him out of his shell.Bingo, outside trips to restaurants, food shopping and trips to museums, musicals, and boat rides made his day. When he could no longer do activities, the staff was amazing helping him to get around and keeping his spirits up!We as a family had so much support, love, and caring from the staff we felt like family.

My mom entered Gables a few months before the Pandemic and their staff was and continues to be amazing. Patiently answering all my mom's queries from internet issues to hanging pictures on her wall- they help with everything. My mom acclimated, and is fully engaged with all the social events and sometimes she doesn't have time for our visits! In the pandemic they did an excellent job of keeping residents safe and their hopes up for a better day which is now here! Thank goodness she had these caring group of folks to support her through a very difficult year. Thank you Kristen in particular and all the staff.

The Gables community does a wonderful job of providing compassion care for the residents. My mom moved in in November 2019 and quickly learned what a good decision it was. The staff were wonderful and welcoming to her as she settled in. When the pandemic hit, the staff quickly was able to make all the necessary changes to keep the residents, their families and staff safe. My family is so appreciative of the care and support my mother and each resident receives.

Gables review 10/20/2020My mother’s move to the Gables has been a huge success. She has lived here for about a year and half. Both my mother and her daughters feel safe knowing she is in such good care. She was reluctant about making this move - but the hotel like atmosphere with opportunities to see and get to know other residents has been a positive addition to her life. Along with having a lovely apartment and so many meals offered. The community atmosphere has allowed her to feel connected. Her daughters all live out of state - but know that the staff is a phone call away. We were able to experience all the positives of the Gables when my mom took a fall in her apartment and returned from rehab. The staff was excellent at the transition of returning to her apartment and providing the proper supports for her to become a independent resident again. After moving here she is now is able to navigate all the Gables has to offer with a walker along with getting some exercise. In terms of Covid - the Gables has kept the residents protected while allowing them to visit outside with the right distancing. They have kept the families informed with timely E-Mails.The Gables has offered us everything promised plus more. We are very satisfied with our choice.

Moving during the Covid pandemic was scary and not ideal but the Gables helped ease all of our fears. The staff at the Gables made my father feel welcomed, cared for, and most importantly at home. Communication is always open and they are always receptive to families concerns. Thank you to all the staff at the Gables!

This has been a long and fearful year with the pandemic and unrest. I thank my stars for having chosen The Gables for my home at this time, they have been unfailing in keeping us well and secure in these hectic times. The future is improving as we will be receiving our vaccine on the 29th. May we see a new light by spring. Stay well. Thanks again to The Gables.

My mother has been a resident of The Gables at Winchester for two and a half years. I feel it is important to say how thankful we are for the staff, especially during this time with Covid Virus. We want to express our sincere appreciation to ALL the staff for what they have done to make The Gables a safe, healthy and caring home for our mother and all the residents, during these uncharted times. It is amazing to continually watch how the staff is working so diligently, to maintain a healthy community for all. It has not been an easy job and they all seem to do it with a smile!!!! I've witnessed many acts of kindness, such as Alexis making masks for all the residents, Kristen staying outside in the heat, so she can keep help the residents and guests maintain their 6 feet apart and keep their masks on, Debbie and the activity staff bringing water, ice cream and treats to residents outside, staff bringing supplies up to resident apartments that have been delivered, and staff walking in and out from their shifts happily taking time to talk to the residents and guests. I know there are many more "over and above" acts of kindness going on inside the building, but we have not been permitted inside, just yet......safety first!!!!!Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you do.......YOU ARE ALL HEROS!!!!!!!!!!

My Dad moved into The Gables this past year. It was a difficult choice for him to move out of his home. We had many meetings with Kristen Woulfe. She was so kind and patient with my Dad and so understanding when she had to answer at least a hundred questions from my sister and I. He is an independent person and lives his life his way, so he wanted to be sure that he could continue doing that at The Gables. He does just that. He loves the unit he is in, especially the fact that he controls the heat and the AC. The staff is wonderful here. Kristen Woulfe continues to reach out to Dad. She is engaging and genuinely kind. All the employees we have come in contact with in Reception, Dining, Housekeeping and Maintenance are so friendly and always ready to help. Dad does not need assistance so we have no experience with the health care staff. I have observed them in the hallways and elevators, however, and have been very impressed with how they engage with their clients, always with a smile. I would strongly recommend The Gables. Be sure to ask the questions that are most important to your loved one. Everyone is so different.

It was such a difficult decision/time for my family to finally move my mom from another state to assisted living. The moment I met Kristen Wolfe and saw the apartment at The Gables, I knew my mother would be happy. The place is great... it offers so much... meals, activities, it very clean and well run. My mom took a while to adjust, but now that she has, she’s doing great. And for me, the peace of mind I have is priceless. This has been the right move for my mom, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the services that she receives there. They are really great and I highly recommend The Gables.
