I couldn't be more happy and satisfied with my experience at Wilmington Lumber. I was treated with respect and patience from the minute I walked in. I had to change my order around a few times and they were more than accommodating. The purchasing process to the delivery everything was as promised. Thank you for your service, I actually feel good about supporting this local small business. Keep up the good work!

We ordered interior doors on May 18th, and were told delivery would be 2-3 days. What a nightmare. That delivery time was a bare faced lie. Then excuse excuse excuse why we still don't have them all 17 days later. I won't even buy a drill bit there anymore.update: The brand of doors we ordered was Jeldwen, but what was delivered was Higgis, and every single door was bowed, which we learned from our carpenter was a manufacturing error, probably when the doors were primed.

I don.t even know where to start but I can not remember when I had an easy time there . They don't keep track of inventory.I will call to see if they have something in stock and they say they will call me back .crickets! No call. yesterday I called looking for siding and the tell me they got 5 cases left and I asked if they could check before I go there . Sure let me get your number and I will call you back . NO CALL so I call back asking if they have this certain siding and they tell me they have like 60 cases .I get there and they sell me the wrong stuff after 20 minutes later I have to go back in and get a credit and try to locate the right stuff.go back outside give the guy the slip and now I have been there for 45 min .The guy come back hands me the case and it look like the right stuff says exactly what I want on box . I get home open box wrong stuff.BACK TO STORE I GO ! After today I'm done I will drive further than I have to to get stuff.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. The service is terrible. It takes forever to get a refund from them, and they have the worst communication. Don't come here. It's a waste of time, totally not worth it.

An all around disappointment. On top of that, their employee was not very kind. I would recommend another company. The only nice part about the company is the logo. That probably says more about the graphic design company they used than them though.

I do not work for and am not affiliated with wilm build supply. However, Just reading these reviews, people are obviously ignorant to their own stench of what a pain they are as a consumer. If you look at the other reviews left by these people, they are not exactly balanced. They use Yelp exclusively to leave bad reviews. For the record, I have worked with, and used Wilm build supply for years personally and professionally, and have never had an issue. There are 3 unhappy customers on Yelp, and Wilm has been busy since the early 1900's, so how many happy customers are out there using WORD OF MOUTH to keep local businesses in business? People like the aforementioned reviewers are why Yelp is not a viable source of balanced reviews. They have no accountability. If this was a verified Facebook account, with their picture, they wouldn't be talking crap as freely. If a customer makes it a chore to earn their business, I personally wouldn't want it. Especially if they can't take personal accountability for their own home projects. It's called a tape measure. Measure twice, order once. Simple.

Wilmington Builders has disappointing customer service. Ordered balusters and railings. The salesman John came out and I thought at that time was awesome. he knew what to order for us to do the railings as my husband was going to do the work. We met and he placed the order. When the balusters came in they were way to high to do a railing He got 39 inch balusters. Brought them back and they said it should not be a problem but that there might be a restocking charge and John needed to call us. We ordered the appropriate height so we could do the railings. A month goes by .....no call at all. Went down to find out and John called us liars and we signed the order etc. manager says "there's nothing I could do" which I cannot believe. It went from great to a disaster and will never use them again. It was the worst experience ever. Out almost 300 dollars To boot the salesman knew how short I am and should have realized that the balusters would have made a railing way too high for me.
