This is the absolute WORST branch for customer service. You could literally turn to stone waiting in them. They can’t decide whether or not to service every car that comes through the drive-thru while ignoring this in line in office or vice versa. May be time for me to switch banks since it often takes me more than one trip to get a single transaction like pulling cash from my account in certain denominations done.

I have 5 bank accounts with eastern bank, I tried to open a savings for my son as I already have one for my oldest & they refused to because I only had his social security card & not his birth certificate, but I just went to another branch & they said I only need a social not both. They need to get on the same page ..

Becoming increasingly frustrated with Eastern Bank. There's no reason why a customer shouldn't be able to call their direct branch and speak to somebody directly. The fact that they are rerouting all phone calls to some central station is ridiculous. And the hours of operation are completely unpredictable. And I'm sorry but Covid is an old excuse.

Tried calling the bank twice on separate days after 15 minutes on hold, I hung up. There's virtually no way to speak with someone via phone.
