A tardy review for this great local bottle that's the only game in town when it comes to alcohol. Located in downtown Williamstown Massachusetts. Parking is free off street. The store is easy to spot with it red awning. The owner brings his dog to work, so don't be surprised. I found her laying by the door. Super owner that carries everything alcohol. So he has you covered on beer, wine & Spirits. The shop is tiny, but he specializes in harder to find bourbons. When I visited he had a Kentucky Owl Confiscated bourbon. He joked that most of his business is from Williams College. I ended up empty handed but the owner definitely elevated the review into 5 star range.

A small, unassuming shop with a decent wine and beer selection. They have bottles of wine in every price range. Buy 6 bottles and get 20% off!!!

I absolutely love this place. Jason is fantastic - super knowledgeable, really nice, and great with recommendations. Don't know what you want? That's fine, he'll help you find something. Ridley (his dog) is gentle and cute. He has quite a selection here, and always has a great deal on NYE champagne.

Big selection of wines for a tiny store (as high/low end as you want), affordable prices for liquor and a cute display of mini bottles!

Limited, overpriced selection of "boutique" wines. Staff lazy and unfriendly.

Stopped by to get some whisky yesterday. Small, rather pedestrian selection. Also, a bit pricier than others. Though I wasn't looking for it, they seemed stronger in the wine department.

No joke - this place should be the example on Yelp's rubric of what a five is. It is seriously "Whoo hoo!" inducing and is as good as it gets. Been a rough few days so I decided to get out of the house and shake it off with a spot of Indian food for lunch. I figured, since I was walking past it, that I would pop into this unassuming shop and ask my standard wine shop question and get the standard disappointing answer... Me: Do you have orange wine? Shop Owner/Worker: Huh? Uh... not quite. I asked my question, looking like a person who has had a rough few days and probably grouchily and was met with an enthusiastic, "Yes!" West's has orange wine. WEST'S HAS ORANGE WINE! No one has orange wine. My day was instantly made, and I clearly made Jason's who walked me through a few. I ended up walking out with two bottles - a Croatian orange and an Italian - but only after a LOT of good talk about wine. And a little time with Jess, the shop dog who is super friendly and must have sensed that I have two at home. As a wine writer I'm always looking for places to expand my knowledge and be able to find new/interesting/good bottles. I'm super excited for these two and hope that I will bring myself to actually drink them and not hold them for the right occasion as I'm wont to do. Needless to say, I will be a regular.
