I bought Russell Drivers Sugar Free Pecan Delight on sale today. It didn't taste right and was hard to bite into. After the 2nd bite, I looked at the expiration date and was astounded to see it'd expired 6 months ago. I can understand a day or two, I get it, but 6 MONTHS??? Pretty disgusting. This location has sunk in ratings and I personally have started to avoid it. I've been mistreated by a staff member in checkout, it always seems to be something with this person, and one time I was bothered enough that I actually called the store after leaving. Evidently I'm not the only person to call about her like I did because they knew who it was. Its hard to avoid someone when they approach you. Doesnt matter that I'm polite and quiet. It'd be nice to be able to shop without checking the dates on everything. I started shopping at Whole Foods most of the time because there really isn't that much difference in pricing anymore. I'm returning the candy tomorrow.

If you wanna go to a crummy supermarket, then choose stop and shop. If you wanna work for a lousy company that disrespects their employees, go to Stop and Shop. If you want the world`s worst quality food for your body, go to stop and shop. If you want a flithy store, then go to this stop and shop. If you wanna wait for hours for a few things, then go to this store. It is the worst i have ever ever seen!

My wife and l went shopping at our local Weymouth Stop&Shop and this was our experience we visited the supermarket around 8 AM Monday Feb. 1st 2021 to be honest the vegetables at 8:10 AM was all boxed up where l had to look for parsley in these boxes no biggie the store was only open for 40 minutes according to the their business hours .. So the wife asked if we could go finish the rest of our grocery shopping until they are done placing everything else out of the boxes 30 minutes later we went right back to the vegetable section and nothing changed so we decided to just go and pay for our grocery shopping so l walked up to the Cashier and had (Patty) ready to assist us pay for everything so l was trying to be nice by greeting her as well as her colleague who l guess was responsible for packing customers groceries in bags unfortunately none of them greeted me back instead they stood silent next l had (patty) asking me if l had a stop&shop card so l told her no and asked her if she can put one in for me she immediately did and then l asked if she can brake a $10 bill she then asked how do l want them l then told her a 5$ bill and 5 ones now back to the woman who was helping (patty) l didn't catch her name because she didn't have a name tag..And is the reason why l'm actually putting the effort of reviewing my terrible visit to our local Stop&Shop she started helping (patty)bagging 2 bags of our groceries then she yelled at patty that she was going to help another cashier leaving us all alone to do our own bagging pretty rude but l can understand in some circumstances they can be short handed but NO this wasn't the case and the reason l say that is because the moment we walked away from (Patty's) Cashier she immediately went right back to help the customer behind us now l just clearly realized that wasn't very welcomed to her supermarket not to mention l truly felt like l was a victim of Ra.ism Yes you read that correctly and it's Sad l know..l guess if you want to be treated properly and not feel unwelcome just being 1 of many people of color then the Weymouth Stop & Shop isn't the supermarket that will provide the hospitality and generosity you would like to get .. l truly regret siding with Stop&Shop employees when they went on strike last year knowing that this is how l would be treated..l can now say this with confidence :(yes my wife and l will never return to this unfriendly supermarket)...Cheers !

8/18/20 3 weeks ago I mentioned that the LIMIT OF MILK AND EGGS HAS PASSED ITS WORTH! Yet no one from STOP N SHOP ACTUALLY NEVER COMMENTED ON MY REVIEW and so today I noticed that the signage was still posted. Sad that families have to expose themselves each time they leave their homes to just buy one Milk and one Eggs. I have researched the last 3 weeks and there is no shortage of dairy or eggs. The prices seem higher but I found Target still a better deal for eggs and milk and no limit. Oh Well! Let's see what happens after Labor Day.

I struggled w one or 2 stars I went with 2 because I actually think there are some great employees here but they suffer because they don't have enough help. The deli is always at least a 20 min wait and there are never more than 3 registers open. I will not use self check out- I want someone on the clock to ring me up and bag my groceries. The bathrooms are disgusting the store is somewhat clean. I do my weekly shop @ Stopy in Hingham(because its cleaner & has more workers) but I pick up a few things at the Weymouth store during the week. I do see the managers bagging & helping they should I am sure they get nice bonuses but pls hire more deli help & cashiers.

Not clean, crappy customer service, low-life employees, long long deli lines, bad produce despite the ads on TV saying that's all changed, no it hasn't. A genuine s**thole. Only reason I go is it's the closest, although if I want a decent experience I'll drive to the Braintree store. Folks should know that S&S year after year comes in near the bottom of the list in national and regional consumer surveys for all the things you would rate a grocery store for. Like 98 out of 100. Only Shaws is worse for a local market. Look it up online.

After tonight's experience I will NEVER come to this stop n shop again and will do everything I possibly can to NEVER shop at stop n shop again. Not only is the store absolutely filthy, understaffed, low in inventory but they literally do not order inventory so I cannot purchase the items I need after weeks and weeks! MULTIPLE not on sale items have been out of stock for over 3 weeks and instead whomever is stocking the items is just putting other items in their place to make it look like the shelf is full. This is a chronic issue and I've had it. I can get over the fact that I have to wait in line for 15 minutes every time I come here during NON peak hours, like tonight is a Monday night at 10pm--and I ALWAYS have to wait in line for 10+ minutes as there is never more than 2-3 registers open--and I only shop after 8pm. And I can usually get over the fact that the store is dirty, but tonight it was unfathomable. The freezers were leaking and there were wet floor signs with wads of soaked paper towels all over the floor as well as puddles of water in the middle of the aisle that you had to avoid. In order to keep the food in the store cold they had the AC set beyond what is acceptable. I couldn't figure out why until I got to the freezer section. I was wearing jeans and sweatshirt and I was losing feeling in my hands. Legitimately. People were talking about it as we went down every aisle. Lastly and probably most importantly the majority of produce looks unsellable. And the meat is a close second. Barely wrapped and leaking as well. With respect to all I think this place needs to be shut down, cleaned up and reopened.

I agree with some other reviews here that this store has declined in quality, cleanliness and especially SERVICE in the last couple years. Quick story: I recently ordered a birthday cake for my son. The bakery employee (Jamela) was curt and acted like I was bothering her. She told me that the cake would be ready at 2pm the following day and I told her that I needed it promptly at that time in order to have it for my son when he got home from school. No problem. Next day I go to pick it up, nobody in bakery and I have to hunt for an employee. When I find one there is no cake and they page Jamela. She finally comes and it's clear that she hasn't finished decorating the cake, so she walks off to do it without a word to me. No explanation or apology for the delay. I had to ask what was happening then go shopping and come back later. She KNEW I needed it by 2. My son came home to an empty house on his birthday bc I was stuck at the store waiting for her to finish. She could have at least been nice, but appears to have no customer service skills.

New manager is super young I felt like I was dealing with my 15 year old son. He used to be security for stop n shop . Omg has no idea what he is doing doesn't listen well at all talks you in circles saying same thing over and over till you get frustrated and leave. Coupons and app SUCKS I leave every time after shopping for 2 hours with kids under 6 with a migraine and always end up the next day back in there because things rang in wrong price and 30.00 or more in coupons never come off. There system sucks and they DONT value there customers at all. Sad because as a mom is rather go to a store I'm used to and know we're eveything is so I can get in and out but after 20 years with the last 3 just a shot show they just lost a really good customer.

I really hate to say it, but this place has declined considerably within the last few years or so. While the main point of shopping at Stop&Shop is to purchase groceries, for me, there are several options and even for Weymouth area residents, both Shaw's and Walmart are adjacent to this store, so there is plenty of competition around. So, you would choose the best of options. This store was redone a few years ago, but is small, and lacking maintenance, merchandise and upkeep in general. The store has many issues including expired foods, expired sale signs (which are just egregious, people think they are getting a sale price that actually doesn't ring up at the register), leaking ceiling tiles, broken clocks, broken self scan registers, and several other deficiencies in between. Staff are friendly and helpful; however, it seems that they don't respond to customer concerns and just simply do not care. My local store responds to every issue within days and doesn't just continue to let things get worse and worse. The store is small, the clientele is sketchy, and the overall experience here is far subpar. While the Braintree location is older, it's larger, has more inventory, and is better well kept, as is the Stop&Shop in Hingham (one of my favorite locations). The Weymouth location is far subpar and should be avoided at all costs. 1 star. I don't suggest this place in any manner.

I just ordered my first Prime Rib from the meat department. Spoke with an employee by the name of Andy. I can tell you that he was the most helpful person. I had no idea what to order, how much to order or what kind to order. He walked me thru it no problem. Thank you Andy for helping this 1st timer making Prime Rib. You were so courteous, kind and most of all, helpful!!!

This review is specifically regarding the bakery. We ordered a beach themed cake for my daughter's birthday from the catalog in the store. We were considering other designs from the catalog, but went with the one chosen because it looked like a beautifully designed cake. Price was kind of expensive ($41 and change), I thought for Stop and Shop but I was fine with it again because of the design of the cake. Well, went to go pick it up this morning, the day of the party, and guess what, the design was barely close, colors kind of the same but no where near the detail displayed in the catalog. My husband talked to the bakery manager, the differences were due to the employee's "interpretation" of the cakes design. What? We ordered what was in the catalog, the STORE'S catalog, not a description of a unique design. And of course there was no time to have another cake made. Keep in mind we did not order this cake last minute, so it was not a rush order. We did get the cake half off, but half off of a cake design that was much more intricate. If I had looked at the picture of the cake we did get, I would not have picked it and would have gone with something else. This is the first and the last time I will order a cake from this store, unless it is something as basic as can be. To charge $40 for something that is barely close to what was advertised is unacceptable and our end result was so disappointing, honestly I think to be charged the half price is unacceptable. Train your people to do what is advertised or do not offer those designs. Please, if you have your heart set on a nicely decorated cake, go somewhere else to avoid the potential disappointment. Disappointment that you then get to pay money for.
