Employee staff are very responsive and kind to my elder dog. They are caring, friendly and do a wonderful grooming job. Employees in store are also, friendly and helpful.

BEWARE OF THIS STORE, THERE FRIENDLYNESS COULD BE DECEAVING.
I took my 4 month old Yorkie Pure Bread which I paid $1200 for, from California, to get his first Haircut. Now keep in mind his first cut, 4 months old. The Petco kept my puppy over 3 hrs, and then they SCALPED HIM, yes they cut my puppy BALD ??.
Petco was only supposed to keep my puppy for 1hr or less. Definitely not 3hrs for his first cut. And Petco was only supposed to give my puppy a TRIM FOR MY PUPPY ‘S FIRST CUT. So my puppy can be slowly introduced to the Cut, and hearing all the noise from the instruments they were using. My Puppy was TRAUMATIZED when he got home.
I feel as Professional Groomers, They should have known better than to do this to my Expensive Puppy ??. MY PUPPY WAS UNRECOGNIZABLE AMERICA, I WAS AND STILL IS, IN TEARS ? ? ??
WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THIS AMERICA, SHOULD I SUE PETCO.
VERY SAD AND HURT CUSTOMER.

Had to do one star just so I could post.
But they don’t even deserve one star.

Clean store. Nice staff. Solid inventory for dogs,cats, reptiles, and fish. Saltwater tanks had some serious green cyano, but outside of that, clean and well stocked.

This 5⭐️ is for Julie from grooming! She's is Rock star! She knows how to handle the pets! I would recommend people to go to Julie for their pet Grooming and hair cut! 10/10 for her Patience and sweets talks!

The staff was nice. But my dog was shaved to his skin which I was never aware or told of. We agreed to trim him half the hair length and they cut all his hair off after she texted me telling me only his legs were matted and she would cut them shorter. I’m very upset that she didn’t tell me she would do his body way shorter than we discussed. I probably will not come back due to this experience and spending 100 to shave my dog bald.

Lost friends of staff the most stores. What's the best brushes, but a decent selection if you're not sure what you want. I do have an above average chameleon selection.

I just left this location in tears. Noone on the staff would tell me where I go to get my dog vaccinated. The guy who does them walked right by me several times and heard me as someone else. I was completely ignored as I walked about the South Weymouth location looking for the place where you give the vacination. finally, one of the workers I asked said "stand at the podium in the front of the store. My dog has never been to a store like this, so he peed. I wanted to clean it up, and a employees points me to a wash station with only bags. So, I'm off again trying to find an employee. One kid that worked there gave me an empty bottle and watched as I cleaned up, like all the other employees, completely ignored me and what was going on making me feel very embarrassed at the situation. After all that, I went back to the podium and there were 3 people ahead of me. My appointment was at 10:30. If someone who worked at this PetCo location South Weymouth was so kind enough to help a paying customer I wouldn't have had to wait another 20 minutes in line while the person at the podium made me wait, I think, purposely, for another 10. I left. I will not be treated this way from the employees at PetCo in South Weymouth. They were unorganized and completely unprofessional.

The young woman who helped me - I think her name was Katanya, but I am not sure - was exceptionally proactive in comprehending what I needed right from the start. It was Happy Returns. She asked careful if I had the QR code for the cost I was returning to LandsEnd, and she helped me find it on my phone. She then went out of her way to tell me that I had a $10.00 credit at Petco, but that it would expire in a couple of days. She got a carriage and led me to the kitty litter section. She found one that had $5:00 off! Having asked if I would like that one, she loaded it into the carriage. She said that after ringing it up, she would help me take it out to my car!Such friendliness and kindness to an 84 year old woman! She told me about all the animals she takes care of at home.It was an amazing experience to be given such practical help, to have saved so much money and to speak with someone who genuinely loves her job, loves animals and people!!!
