Terrible service, nothing but attitude from the old miserable guy at rentals. The way he talked to his young employee was just awful. I tried renting a tool and it was just the biggest hassle for him, even though I had made the reservation over a week ago. Go anywhere but here, I'd rather drive to Home Depot even if it was for a single nail. Stay away

Nice neighborhood store but with franchise chain. Service is nice, pleasant, knowledgeable but without the bewildering size of bigger stores. Go here first for basic needs

My favorite hardware store. They help you in every way to find everything you need for home projects, filling your propane tank or seeding your lawn. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

The best hardware store around! Every single time I've gone to MacKay's, they've always had exactly what I was looking for. They're always my go-to. Thank you for everything!

Small, but very well stocked hardware store. Been here many times and the staff is always fun and friendly. You can tell they work well with each other and I always leave satisfied. Would come here over Home Depot any day

Good neighborhood hardware store. You find what you need. Much better than walking miles to just pickup a single item.

I recently moved to Westford and my 3.5 year old grandson loved watching the painters at my new apartment. I wanted to surprise him with his own painters’ tools. My huge appreciation to the very creative and patient MacKay high-school-aged salesman, and his associates, who went above and beyond to create the perfect collection for my 3.5 year-old grandson to play! The set included a handcrafted (on-the-spot) pint-sized paint bucket, paint mixing stick, paint color sample cards, sanding block, plastic Spackle ‘knife’, a paint brush, paint roller, painter’s ‘overall’ cover-up (cut to size at home) and drop cloth. My grandson has had hours of fun, ‘painting’ my apt. with many, many more fun times ahead until he’s old enough to add REAL paint to the bucket!?Thanks again MacKay Team!

This store is just OK. The staff tends to be inexperienced, arrogant, and not customer focused. I recently went there for rock salt, which is generally about $6-8 for 50 pounds, and was charged $18 for 40 pounds, I thought maybe this was an ice melt blend price, and asked them to confirm. They didn’t get a bag to check, but instead told me it has always been that price. Next stop was market basket, where they had 25 pound bags of salt for $4. I confirmed with the OTHER Westford Ace that their rock salt price is $7 for 50 pounds. Had to go there to return to over priced stuff. I like the Groton rd store, but will not be returning to the McKay store. This type of interaction has happened too many times for me at this point.
