“I live in Northern NH and wanted a local florist near Acton Mass for a wake in Acton. I was almost scammed by an internet florist who claimed to be based in Acton, but I caught on when they didn't seem to know the local Funeral Home. The funeral place then direct me to try Hawes Florist in Maynard I knew as soon as I called Hawes Florist that I was speaking to a genuine local florist. She knew the funeral place and knew my friends family who passed away. Hawes Florist treated me great and helped me get my order in right away. They also texted me a photo once my flowers were delivered. The flowers per absolutely beautiful! Thank you Hawes! She was game to try every idea we brought to her (we had a Lord of the Rings inspired wedding) and her enthusiasm made us that much more excited to see our vision come to life. Lisa is thoughtful, creative, and patient, and was willing to meet with us a few times until our flower proposal was perfect. On our wedding day, Lisa and her team surpassed expectations for their time and effort -- everything from the personal flowers and the sweetheart table to the greenhouse and dessert table was absolutely stunning and exactly what we wanted. In addition, reducing waste from our wedding day was very important to us; Lavender picks up leftover wedding flowers and delivers them to schools and care facilities in the area. “Working with Melissa was a dream! She was able to take a broad mood board and a box of candle holders and turn it into a stunning floral array. We really appreciated her vision and artistry in putting together the florals without much direction from us, and loved the way it turned out. She was transparent about pricing and what was possible with different arrangement styles, and made us feel very comfortable moving ahead with decisions. She was able to get peonies (the bride’s favorite!) at the very end of June too, which was extra special! Hiring Melissa was an easy decision because of her friendly, professional nature and beautiful work.”

“This is a long, LONG overdue review. Copper Penny was the florist for our wedding back in August and it was an amazing experience. Jennifer was so amazing to work with. Her and her team had a very in depth consultation and use of vision board which really helped to ensure our vision came to life for our wedding. From her responsiveness through email, detailed in person meeting to the drop off, everything was seamless. We could not have been more pleased with our experience. “I was referred to Concord Florist by my aunt, who lives just a few houses down from the owners. I wanted to leave a review because I was so impressed with their work! I can’t remember their names (though I do remember their dog, Jake!), but they were incredibly kind and talented.

I’m very picky when it comes to flowers so much that I even tried to make my own arrangement at first, only to realize I was definitely not qualified. When I arrived in Concord, I had planned to show some inspiration photos, but of course Verizon has no service there. I had a cranky two-year-old with me and no idea how to explain what I wanted. Despite all that, the owner was so patient and really listened. She asked all the right questions, took note of what I liked and didn’t like, and somehow knew exactly what I was going for.

When I walked into the funeral home, I was honestly nervous (as a control freak always is), but I was completely blown away. The arrangement was absolutely beautiful and truly captured everything I had hoped for, even without a reference photo. I’ve included a picture (taken a week later!) to show how well the flowers held up.

“This is my neighborhood florist (even though I moved years ago) and they've always created the most beautiful arrangements for me. I don't know flowers so I usually just request a certain color palate, animal safe and let them do their thing. The recipient is always pleased and posts pictures all over social media in gratitude. They've even called around to drivers to try and accommodate a late day request for same day delivery which in most others shops the ask would have been immediately shutdown. Some of the arrangements have been for sad occasions that make for difficult communication but the customer service is always kind and patient. Thanka for being my neighborhood florist!”
