I was 5 years long customer of the company. Had ordered 30 yards of soil back in 2021, and also mulch. I had been experiencing friendly and reliable service without issue. Today a very unpleasant call with Dave who didn't have the 4 minutes time to allow me to sort out a little entangling of information for a proper order.It can happen that a customer is not 100% efficient when ordering, right? Sometimes we make errors. We're all not perfect, and at times even less so. That's when it helps to receive a bit of patience and a little sense of humor. Instead, even after I said I'm sorry for the confusion, he aggressively lectured me about me wasting his time. This venting out spoiled my day. I had two hours before a 1.5 hour session at the dentist for a crown, where I was on pain killer. Thankfully it was a good experience, with competent and likable dentist and staff. Who would expect 1.5h of dental procedure to be the a positive contrast?David lost a reliably paying and uncomplicated customer.

Watch out for excessive delivery fees. Apparently their policy is free delivery within 10 miles. I'm 10.8 miles away from them. I'm fine with paying a little something for the .8 miles. But was shocked when I saw the bill and it was $50. Really, $50 for .8 miles? That just left a bad feeling in my mouth. I'll take my business elsewhere next time.

Charging 20$ for Fuel surcharge to deliver 0.4 miles seems too much, when it is advertised delivery is free. At the same time another vendor delivering from 4 miles didn't have fuel charge and free delivery. This could have been prorated by distance, thats all. Ty.

great people there field people were pleasant and easy to work with,they ran into a hose problem but did not get upset went back to yard and got a different hose.They worked hard knowing they had over 20 yards of mulch to spread for me and then having to go and do my son's house.Will definately be using again.Hard workers

In looking for mulch, I did my due diligence and called around to several companies. I was trying to avoid a delivery fee if at all possible. I called Dr. Mulch, and they said that if I was within 10 miles of their facility, there would be no charge for delivery. Luckily for me, I was just inside their 10 mile radius for the free delivery. What they failed to mention was the $20 "fuel" charge! That's right, $20 to go 10 miles to my house. i am not sure if this is a normal practice with mulch businesses, but it should have been made clear to me, especially after I reacted favorably to the "no delivery" fee. Other than that, they fulfilled my order within one day, and the delivery driver was very friendly.

Last year I ordered 4 yards of soil as I was building a new garden. I was so pleased with the product, the delivery and especially the friendliness of the staff that I ordered more soil this year for yard repair. Going forward I will use and recommend Dr Mulch for soil and any other landscaping products. Give them a shot, you will not be disappointed!

Great company to do business with. I called at 4:50 pm on a Friday, he sent the delivery out for me that evening despite essentially being done for the day. Friendly driver, perfect delivery. What other reviewers have called a "salty" attitude I simply call someone with an actual personality, which I welcome. Mulch was high quality, price very reasonable.

My neighbor and I called for an estimate, was extremly salty and sounded like he had better things to do. I hope he understands this is LITERALLY what his company should be doing. Taking our hundreds of $$$ somewhere else.

Horrible customer service and very rude. Booked delivery with Dr Mulch saying 5-6 jobs before me and my delivery would be close to noontime. I asked if he was sure and he confirmed. I confirmed a 3rd time saying that I had something first thing but would be available by 10. He said no problem.The driver called at 9 to make delivery. I was told to check in with the office to reschedule with the office. Dr Mulch went on a rant saying he was not coming back today and if I didn't like it too bad. I brought up what he said when he booked the appointment and he hung up. Good luck dealing with this nitwit.

It's an exceptional family business that has what you what in earth materials. A father and son business that takes time to get the product to you and delivery times are always on time or sooner.
