“I had been a customer of Paul from the mid 70's to the mid 90's. Until I relocated to another distant area.
Now some 30 years later. I have returned much closer to this area once again. In doing so. Relocating and making new adjustments to the area was not too difficult.
However, my best conquest in my current move back here was learning my past auto mechanic Paul's Auto Repair was still in business on Phillips St.
What a surprise it was to walk in and renew our friendship and business relationship once again. Having Paul as my mechanic once more has put me back in my comfort zone or as some call it, my happy place.
Talking to him and listening to him talk to his customers via the phone or at the shop. Has shown me he still maintains his strong work ethics and his focus to deliver quality work. I have always appreciated his honesty. Paul has no problem informing you of what work really needs to be done now or maybe a little later. Case in point, my rear brakes were in very near in need of replacement. . However, he also said that my front brakes had possibly another 3000 miles left on them. With that being said I will make another date to have them inspected again at 2,500 miles.
With this type of respect, kindness, professionalism, and honesty. This is the class of mechanic I choose to have working for me and my family.”
“Dan and company quickly diagnosed the problem. In addition, they informed me of another issue that needed to be resolved that I was unaware of. They ordered all the required parts and had my car back to me in 48 hours. I have finally found my service shop for any additional repairs that may be required in the future!”
“I started going here 2 years ago. With a couple of older vehicles between my wife and I, we've had more repairs that we would care to admit, but have had an overall positive experience.
Pros - They have a front desk and the woman who usually staffs it is helpful and very knowledgeable, they take appointments and generally can take you within a day or two if you're willing to give them the car for the day, they're transparent about pricing, and the mechanic usually calls to discuss any work and the estimate before proceeding. We've had no surprise charges or unwanted work done. They also do inspections. We also had a repair issue that needed to be repeated and they honored the warranty for the very expensive part with no questions. Overall they're very communicative and transparent.
Cons - Sometimes they require a deposit for a part. They usually close right at 5pm and are closed on weekends.
We'll continue to go back and have been pretty happy and satisfied to date.”
“En route from Boston to Philly, a flat tire on the Mass Pike outside Westboro had us searching online for a tire repair shop. Midas was first on the list, and despite explaining our predicament they turned us away saying they were too busy, and refused to recommend anyplace else. Pete's Tire Barn was next on the list, so we called and were told to come right away. With the donut spare on, we drove the 20 minutes and upon arrival they got straight to work removing the nail, patching the tire and rebalancing the wheel before putting it back on our car for us. Everyone there was kind and friendly. They were true professionals, and their services very reasonably priced too. Just awesome!!”
“They are excellent with their car sales but their detailed apartment is phenomenal. Matthew detailed my car. He gets ceramic coating and fixed my headlights. When I bought the car from another dealership. The headlights were white and foggy. It looks like a whole new brand new car. I couldn't be happier they're not just a dealership. They have an excellent garage, a very knowledgeable mechanics, full car Care Center with detailing my car looks better than the day I picked it up from the Cadillac dealership”
