One of the few remaining book stores. Clean and neat. Great place to browse some new books.

I'm a guy who loves reading and my wife is a lady who loves shopping, and what a DISAPPOINTMENT. We have been coming to this store for years but have not been in for some time due to travel and work. We decided to take a ride down because my wife needed a baby shower gift, and I wanted a book for our upcoming vacation. We walked into the store to first be greeted by every employee on their phones and paying no attention whatsoever to the sales floor. Not that it mattered, because they had no customers. They were out of stock on a best-selling book I wanted to read, and the rest of the store looked so empty and lackluster. It was very clean and organized, but just missing all the unique and well-priced merchandise they used to have. The card section was a joke, and my wife said that the children's clothing looked like it was from Goodwill. She could not find anything for a gift, which is rare, since she has bought so many gifts here before. The selection was sub-par at best and looked like it was trying to replace HomeGoods, which has left the plaza along with Marshalls, with random misplaced merchandise for twice the price. This store is as sad and empty as the plaza it sits in. I have no idea how they are still in business.

I worked at this store in the Cafe when it first opened as a teenager, and watched it bloom into a beautiful local store that was known for more than just books. Over the years, It became a must-stop if you wanted to find a thoughtful and unique gift for anyone on your list. As an adult, it was still my go-to place in the neighborhood to have a cup of coffee and purchase gifts for everyone on my list. The curation and care that was taken always made Tatnuck a joy to shop in. I moved to Lowell for many years and recently returned to the area and I was absolutely shocked to see Tatnuck was no longer full of beautiful books and gifts. I'm not sure what happened here but everything looks a mess. Books are never in stock, The gifts area looked so cheap and empty compared to the past. They had stuff in there that you could buy at homegoods for half the price. A lot of the items they had felt like an afterthought rather than a gift for a loved one. I have no idea what direction they're taking here or why, but I hope they go back to what they were doing before they go under. Really a shame to see such a unique store take such a dismal turn.

Will always miss them in Worcester but still worth the drive down Rt9. Awesome selection of books, great gift ideas, nice little cafe to enjoy. They can run a little pricey on stuff when compared to online shopping but it's not unreasonable and I think it's important and worth supporting such businesses as I'm able. Always friendly staff in good moods and it's refreshing to visit someplace so clean, bright, and welcoming.

Neat place. A little bit of everything and a good selection of books! Staff always polite. Quality goods, great for that hard to shop for person, and if you're lucky, and the cafe is open, you can grab a cup o' joe. Great place to just poke around.

the book prices are great, but the selection isn't. it's a huge store but the shelves are understocked and they have a questionable choice in the genres they stock. definitely skewed towards much older patrons.

Lunch was just okay. Limited selection of items. A bit high for the quality level too.

Such a great place. Books that you won't find in other stores. Even had the specific bookkeeping tome I was looking for. My wife loved the historical fiction section.

I love this store. I work close by and come here on my lunch break a lot and they have a great selection of stuff. I mainly come here for books but often find something else that randomly catches my eye. The atmosphere in this place is so welcoming and warm, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Also the Cafe here has great latte's!

What a disappointment! My girlfriends and I have been making a pilgrimage to Tatnuck for years around this time of year to avoid the craziness of December. We've always found the best selection of gifts, clothing and accessories for the season. We were in the store over the weekend and were so disappointed to find a very limited and sub-par selection of merchandise this year, and the store was so empty. This was our go to spot and I don’t think any of us bought anything other than a bar of soap. SO SAD! I guess we will have to find a new spot for our Holiday shopping!
