I tried to go to the post office in Vineyard Haven first, but it was packed. Do yourself a favor and drive down to West Tisbury to visit Jack ! You might find some hidden gems along the way.
Jack was extremely friendly and attentive. Every customer that came in knew his name. He helped me get my package together and talked to me about my visit. Good customer service is a rare skill these days it seems, but I found it in Jack. I was truly appreciative of him. He made my day brighter.

An Amazon package was taken to West Tisbury post office last night. We got a text to pick up at post office. We were there when they opened and Less than 12 hrs later they had returned it to Amazon. No one at the west tisbury post office even seemed to care. Very poor customer service and be warned about shipping anything to the island usps if you don't have a po box.

Worst service of all time! Most time consuming lines to wait in. Have never actually forwarded my mail in all of the many years of putting in the request properly. They'll say they don't have your mail when you have proof that it was delivered, etc.Save yourself and go to the West Tisbury USPS or elsewhere. I'd definitely get a PO Box in another town even if you're a Tisbury resident.

Personnel work very hard and are very helpful always offering suggestions on how to make the process more efficient and economical. In my experience they are always understaffed, so they do their very best to keep up with the flow.
