Absolutely loved our experience at this gallery! The space is airy and welcoming, and the collection is a perfect mix of contemporary and traditional art. The outdoor sculptures add a unique touch, and the rotating exhibitions mean there’s always something new to discover. It’s a must-visit for any art lover exploring the island! Plus, Jennifer (team member and artist) is so approachable and friendly, and made us feel at ease as new art collectors!

Sure, this is a gallery with plenty of expensive offerings, but also a welcoming, accessible one in which folks are free to come in and browse. In particular, the outdoor gardens can conceivably be accessed 24/7 and are full of whimsical, instaworthy selfie opportunities. There's plenty of good stuff indoors, of course. Much of it is island or nautical-themed, spread out across two wings of the same structure. If I remember correctly, the interior does not involve a series of steps, so it should be fully accessible if you can fit through a normal-sized door typical of a residential house. The staff here were super friendly and happy to explain anything in their collection. A welcome stop amidst a day spent driving around the Vineyard.

If you are in this area, it is a nice place to visit. Great place to browse if you are stuck at the West Tisbury Town Hall bus stop. I am not particularly into art but it was interesting to see some of contrasting pieces in particular (Charlie Brown cartoon with picture of artwork rhino). The prices reflect a combination of the art quality and the clientele who live here. One of the locals who worked here, probably a son of the museum owner, was nice enough to make small talk with me but I also convinced him to tell me more about Maison Villatte.

A wonderful small gallery in West Tilbury that was formerly sculptor Tom Maley's studio. His work is outside in a large field. The gallery represents a variety of artists and includes also jewelry and ceramics.

Love wandering around. Always interesting new pieces. Variety of prices which allow starter collectors a chance. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. They always make you feel welcome.

I'd been coming to the island since I was in single digits, but I'd never been to the Field Gallery before 2021. I made the trek one evening just as the light was turning golden - what a special place. Definitely check it out if you haven't yet!
