Verizon West Springfield MA Verizon Store, West Springfield upsell up·sell | p-sel variants: or up-sell upsold p-sōld or up-sold; upselling or up-selling; upsells or up-sells Definition of upsell (Entry 1 of 2) transitive verb : to try to convince (a customer) to purchase something additional or at a higher cost With a strong correlation between the amount of video consumed and the Internet speed that consumers think they need, providers could possibly upsell customers on costlier broadband packages. -- Makeda Easter upsell noun plural upsells Definition of upsell (Entry 2 of 2) : an attempt to convince a customer to purchase something additional or more costly : the act or an instance of upselling We passed on the products they had used during the massage, which were for sale. Almost every activity, it would turn out, ended with a gentle upsell. -- Dan Saltzstein I tend to avoid server upsells because I usually suspect they're trying to push a high margin or past-its-prime menu item. -- Michael Nagrant Other Words from upsell Verb upselling or up-selling noun Counter clerks, paid on commission, are typically instructed to pitch more expensive cars, a tank of gas, a damage waiver ... It's called "up-selling" in the trade, and can account for as much as 20% of the revenue of some car-rental companies ... So, I picked up a Kyocera flip phone yesterday, taking a break from smart phones. Also inquired if/when Verizon was planning on offering internet service in Holyoke. Sales person brought out my phone and a jetpack(?) hotspot. Told me the advantages of such... Total for the day 300 inc tax, blah, blah. "Would you like me to set up your hotspot, so he opened it and set it up. Got home, looked at my receipts and the hot spot was an additional 199 plus 50 a month. Returned it today and questioned why I wasn't told of a 50 "restocking fee" as the rep opened the box. And why my total was "300" leaving out 199 + 50? Manager told me we don't "upsell". Yea....you do. Looking forward to talk to Verizon customer service, I'm sure they'll be a big help:)

It's too bad you can't give a negative rating. I called Verizon about switching my phones in their advertised trade up program. I show up in the store and they tell me call an 888 number because I have to start there. So mind you I'm standing in a Verizon store and THEY want ME to call their line to switch a line in to my plan instead of just doing it there with me. On top of that, they tell me I'm not eligible for a plan upgrade even though I have a free upgrade every two years and that's not what they are advertising on the commercials. They tell me I have to be on 5g to get upgraded to 5g. (What!?!) and because I'm not I'm ineligible. I was was handed off to two people in their store very bad customer service. I went to a different Verizon store and now I have what I want and this store lost a huge sale and a customer for life. I hope everyone reading this avoids this store. Boycott and let them shutter the store.

Absolutely disgusted that my $600 "trade in" was never applied to my account. Not sure how this acceptable what's so ever and still trying to work on getting the credit. I wish I looked at the reviews before coming. Hopefully this will save someone's time.

the worst customer service I have received from a company in a long time. Its ironic that your dealing with a phone company and neither staff or manager cannot be bothered to return phone or text messages.

If I were able to give a zero review. Stopped by on Sat. 11/14. First told there was a 1 1/2 wait, Been a Verizon customer for 12 years, the rep a bald black gentleman, couldn't find my number and was doubting I had Verizon. Finally resolved that and waited outside as told due to Covid. Other people were also taken back by his rudeness towards them. Had an argument with a Latin couple who he told were not getting any service from them. Actually called the police when they wouldn't leave. Turned out they had a curbside pick-up. Next a handicapped person parked in one of the two curbside pick-up since the handicap spots are 50 ft. away. was told adamantly that he could not park in curbside and to move the car. Said he couldn't walk from there and the same salesman, could care less. The gentleman left. Another person arrived after me, had no appt., but the this salesman took a liking to him and skipped the whole process to let him in. You had 5 people working in the store, 4 customers outside and only 2 salespeople were assisting customers. After 30 minutes of receiving a second text telling me I was next, and when this salesman came out to sign up new arrivals, i asked him about when he thought I would be called in. He abruptly got into my personnel space and said, I gave you the option to wait or leave and you decided to wait. I responded that I was just asking for an approximation of when I would get some help. Was ignored and told him I received my text indicating I was next 30 mi. ago, so when might that be. He said, a text, I sent you no text and then turned to enter the store. I asked him why there were 5 salespeople there and only one was helping a customer. Told me that I would not be next and was going to, and did, remove me from the list. He actually laughed while doing this, another customer behind me called him an A-hole. I have never had such a vindictive, arrogant and sadistic individual act or talk this way. This individual should be fired for his actions, his behavior was reprehensible . In 40 minutes you lost 3 customers and turned away 3 more telling him it would be a 2 hour wait, which simply was not true. Is this how Verizon treats there customers? This is policy and standard operating procedure? You are not the only store to go to, with many authorized sellers near this location offering the same products with respect. Will never come to this place again to drop $500 for a product. I'd rather give you the $$ to fire him! Shame on you guys

I have been a customer of Verizon Wireless for years. The service gets worse every year and the wait times grow longer. Will be searching for a new carrier. They may not be the worse but they are not far from it

I made an appointment and went to the West Springfield Verizon to get help obtaining a new phone on Friday. I had been trying for days with customer service and had not been successful. My phone screen was shot and without a landline there was nothing else I could do. I am on a family plan and should have been authorized on the account according to customer service but when I got to the store they told me I was not authorized. From that point forward they would not listen to anything I had to say. Or help me in anyway. Both employees kept talking over me and would not listen to my dilemma. The employee greeting at the door talked over me so badly I couldn't even listen to him anymore. He then refused to help me. It was the worst customer service experience I've ever had and although I still have Verizon I certainly didn't have the opportunity to purchase anything that day nor would I have from those employees.

The manager Anthony was very unprofessional, condescending, rude, and actually scared me into never stepping foot in that door again.

Jordon was wonderful. Fast efficient and professional. He knows his stuff. Will definitely return because of him. Convenient curb side parking. Got in and out QUICK. Jordan is an asset to the organization.

Walked in on a Friday afternoon and the floor was busy. I saw multiple sales associates balancing multiple customers and they look like they were handling it well. I was in and out with a new Google pixel in under 40 minutes. No hassle whatsoever. I would recommend this store over it's Springfield competitors every day of the week.

Been fighting with the Verizon online customer service and the Hadley, Massachusetts store for weeks. This store is an hour drive and was worth it. Whole transaction took 45 minutes but I should be set for the next few years. Unlike the other corporate store. This one had many employees assisting customers. Update: still getting my incoming calls to my old cell phone with Virgin Mobil. Spoken to Verizon Monday and Tuesday. Informed the port was incomplete due to a system failure on a system upgrade Sunday. Told it would be complete in a "few hours" . On Monday after 20 minutes on the phone with a customer service representative. Confirmed my identity. Explained the issue & told it would be complete "in a few hours".On Tuesday after another 20 minutes on the phone with customer service representative. Confirmed my identity. Explained the issue & told it would be complete "in about eight-hours"... and she'll be calling me back tomorrow to confirm. Received a call from the store manager in response to the online survey. He took the information and said it should be fixed by 9:30. It wasn't.

This is one of the better Verizon stores I've ever been in. The place was clean and there was plenty of room to sit while we waited. Our issue wasn't too complex, just exchanging a defective device. There were plenty of staff and they were all very nice and made sure we were taken care of. After not too long a wait they were able to exchange our device without problem. (winning combination: device was bought in store and under 1 year old)

Worst service on the planet. Terrible staff. Skipped me quite a few times for friends. Very unprofessional. I recommend driving several miles further to another store. Well worth it.

To be honest, I hate Verizon tech support, they're the slowest, un-comprehensible, useless group of techs who've never solved any of my phone issues. But, their incompetence is not reflected by the staff at this establishment. There are always ample number of knowledgeable and friendly staff who'll address all of your tech questions to the best of their capabilities. The store is quite large and contains all of the newest technology. Warning though, if the staff does not know the answer to your question, LEAVE IMMEDIATELY! I just spent 40 min in the store today while two different assistants tried to solve my back-up issues. The Verizon house staff were very patient with me, and it wasn't their fault. At the end, the Verizon Tech Support people just hung up, and left my issues un-answered....god verizon sucks. ...but, this place is worth looking into if you're not tech savy or if you're interested in seeing all of the new phones. Of course, don't get the accessories here, as you can find much cheaper alternatives online.
