Great service, I trust that it was an honest evaluation -- a bit expensive! But worth it.

Im so over this place. I purchased a car from here January 2022. It was a decent experience besides the salesman using my number from my application to ask me to go out for drinks.I never received the tire lock key. So my tires are locked on.I go in for routine maintenance and they crack my side mirror and expect ME to pay for it. The manager tried to bully me because I am a woman until my boyfriend comes in and suddenly it’s all set.During this time I “order” a tire lock key and they said it will be in a week and they NEVER call me. I call and no one knows of my order or what I’m talking about.Fast forward to October 4 2023 my boyfriend orders the key and they say 10 business days. We call back after 12 business days and it’s still not in.Here we are November 2 2023 and still no tire lock key. I’ve been trying to get this thing that SHOULD come with the car for going on 2 years. Extremely frustrating.

For decades, I have been driving Toyotas. But not too long ago, I acquired a 2005 Honda Accord. For years, the roads have been filled with Toyotas. But nowadays, it looks like a Honda revolution is taking place. I felt attached to my 2005 Honda Accord, but I knew it was time for a change. I had looked at a few dealerships before I found Parkway Honda. Pretty much when I walked into Parkway, I ran into Joe Serpa. It's so rare for me to buy or sell a car in general, so the whole experience was surreal at the onset. But when I interacted with Joe, I knew right away that he wasn't a typical salesman. I found him to be both professional and approachable. Whenever I expressed concerns and questions, I never felt discouraged. Joe is simply a gem of a salesperson. Without his guidance, I am not sure I would have followed through with this purchase. But now, I find myself driving a 2020 Honda Accord and I couldn't be happier.

After posting an accurate, negative review on dealerrater.com, suddenly Parkway Honda decided to give me a full refund. Apparently that's the site they pay attention to

I've been bringing my Honda for regular service to Parkway Honda for years, but my latest visit prompted me to check on yelp if my experience was somehow isolated or this is what is now happening at Parkway. I am sorry to see most ratings for Parkway is one start and that is because you can't give zero stars and I totally agree with the majority here. Here is my experience: I booked an online appointment with a coupon for an oil change, arrived on time and was surprised I was the only customer in the garage; that was not previously noted by me but a slow day perhaps? There were two ladies sitting at their desks but they didn't bother to greet, both were very busy with their phones, one announced to leave my key in the car and immediately left and the second one was so engaged watching something that sounded like a good Spanish or Brazilian soap opera that I couldn't dare interrupting her as I understand how this could be addictive. I left my car and received a text to add some "critical" services like a cabin filter change and after I declined, a quick call to pick up my car. The ladies were gone now, two guys were sitting at their desk, none had phones but as soon as I approached one I was greeted by "who is your advisor" and in response to my reply "no clue, none of you wear name tags" (I didn't dare to say "the one that likes her phone the most), he guessed it was someone else and both left. I stood there, good 15 minutes before a third guy came in and took a pity on me and and gave me my paperwork to pay at the cashier. My coupon was disregarded, and I decided I would rather pay the full price than wait for another person to help me. I will be staying away from this place for sure, just like others.

Stay away from this service department. They misdiagnosed my Honda's problems 3 times, and would have gouged me more than $14,000 if I had not gone to a trustworthy mechanic for a second opinion. The first time, I brought in my 10 year-old Pilot thinking the transmission was gone. (I was willing to come to this dealer because I figured, wrongly, that their diagnostic tools and skills were better. Wrong!) They said the transmission was fine but charged me more than $6,000 to replace motor mounts and other work. (I figured the cost was less than buying a used car, so I agreed. My mechanic later told me they gouged me.) Then, the transmission-like symptoms continued, so I brought the car back weeks later for them to look at again. This time they said, yes, you need a transmission replacement -- a used transmission from a scrapped vehicle -- for another $6,000. NFW! I told the service mgr I never would have sunk the first six grand into a 10 yr old car if they had told me I needed a new transmission to begin with. I haggled the cost down from six grand to $2,400, which shows you how bad they gouge you with their prices. Then, after all of this work, my dashboard error lights continued to stay on. And when my car started trembling and shaking when going over 45mph, and 65 mph on the highway, I brought the car back a third diagnosis. This time, they wanted to charge me another $1,700 for more work on valve cover seals and a clutch switch. At that point, I told them where to go, and took the car back to my mechanic, who performed the work and diagnosed that I needed new front brake calipers to solve the car shaking at high speeds (Parkway Honda missed that). My mechanic did all that for $900. Learn from my bad and expensive lesson: Save yourself time and money and take your Honda elsewhere. This service dept is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with an auto shop. Ever. Stay away.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR BUSINESSNot a good place to do business, they tell you one thing and then will do another. Beware of giving any money up front, because you will have a hard time getting a refund for it. When you call they give the run around that no manager is available, but they are there, they just direct employees to not let anyone speak to them. Still waiting for my refund a week later, no follow up or customer care on their end, you have to call, you have to follow up. Also know that when buying a car they try to charge you a market adjustment fee of $5,000( yes 5 K you read right). I go else where and that charge isn't even there. So when you start negotiations way cheaper for a new car else whereTake your business elsewhere, went to Boch Honda west, ( yes a distance but no games), right away price for brand new car is thousands less. And they call you and follow up and make sure things are good.

Sales Dept: Nice enough from the limited interactions I had with themService Dept: ***STAY FAR AWAY*** My advice is to go to a different dealership. The only time I brought my car in was to get warranty-covered work done and even then, they'll try to swindle you. The service manager, Allan, is an absolutely dishonest sleazebag/scumbag. Rant incoming...1st bad experience (2017):Brought in the car to get the AC fixed (condenser coil), which was covered under warranty at the time. The service rep insisted that I purchase a maintenance package to which I declined since I wasn't due for one. One of the items he mentioned needed changing was that my wipers looked old --- here's the kicker, I changed them myself about 3 days prior to bringing it in. He looked embarrassed when I brought that up. Swindlers.2nd bad experience (2018):AC not working again (condenser coil) -- same issue, same fix.3rd bad experience (2019):AC not working, condenser coil -- yet again --- the warranty was extended since it's a known issue at this point4th bad experience (2022):AC not working, team claims that it's the compressor and not the condenser this time -- quoted me something around $4000 to replace it. I decide to hold off on the repair since it's not worth getting that done on a 6 year old car. I'm charged a $188 "diagnostic fee".5th bad experience (2023):I bring my car to my local mechanic (Hyde Park Spring & Brake - honest guys, I highly recommend them) since almost any other mechanic is cheaper than Honda. They decide to run their own dye test and found that it was... you guessed it, the condenser yet again. Honda should be on the hook for the repair but they refuse to do so, sticking by their story even though the green dye could be seen coming out of the condenser. Honda (Allan) refuses to provide a refund for the diagnostic fee, which was incorrect.6th bad experience (2023):Speakers stopped working after a car accident. I had gone to a car audio place beforehand and they were confident that it was the amplifier that's damaged based on where the car was hit. Honda tells me that I need the entire head unit (infotainment system) replaced for the price of $3000. What a stupid assessment since everything else still works - android auto worked just fine. Honda charges me a "amplifier software update" fee of $188. What's the point of a software update if the entire system needs to be replaced?I bring my car to another local mechanic and they did their own diagnostic to confirm whether it's the amplifier and lo and behold, it was.

My experience with Parkway Honda in Westroxbury was very bad, I went yesterday to change the oil for my 22 Honda Odyssey, I bought it from them last year, and the service guy recommended to me to rotate the tire and I said okay and I paid for it and I knew there was a nail in my tire, when I took the car back from them I saw the indicator for the tire pressure had never changed meaning they never rotated my tire so that meant the nail was never removed from the tire, and I went back to them and another service guy tried to convince me that they had rotated the tire and that the indicator was incorrect and he was very rude and he thought this is my first time driving a car, and then I went back home to check if the tire had the nail, and that had meant they didn’t rotate anything , I paid for the rotation and they didn’t do anything so I went back to them and I spoke to the manager and he had taken the car back inside and he removed the nail from the tire and rotated it which should’ve been done the first time . He also corrected the amount amount of pressure in the tire. The report I got from the first time I went back there said they rotated the tire and they checked the air pressure but they never did.

Went to this dealership to get a new CRV, and was helped by Stephanie Velasquez-Cruz. She not only helped me get the best deal out there but made sure I got the vehicle on the same day. She was super friendly and respectful. One thing to note was that she was very knowledgeable about not only the vehicle I purchased but in general. Definitely recommend this dealership and her as your main sales person.
