I am just shy of 75 years old and a local in the neighborhood for 43 years. I have tried many nail salons; all poorly run, rude staff, dirty facilities, bad polish job, etc.
Today I found Obsession in West Roxbury. LAN did the best mani pedi I have ever had. I watched the others wash down pedicure chairs, foot tubs, carts, etc. as closing approached. Very impressive. My hands & feet are a mess and my mani pedi may have taken longer than expected. I never felt rushed. My hands & feet never looked this good, the massages on both were spot on, the polish is smooth and neat. I am so impressed. I am going only to Obsession going forward and scheduling my appointments only with LAN. Scheduling ahead is mandatory. Obsession is not open Tuesdays. Regular “Mani $20 Pedi $42” together $62 and so worth it! Betsy Feldman

I really hope the owner sees this review. I came there on 1/17/24. I’m sure they will remember me. I had high recommendations for this place from a good friend. I have gel on my feet and asked (Lan, I think that’s her name) if she could not use the machine device on my foot but rather foil soak because I have a sensitive nail and had issues in the past. She spoke very loud and in a rude tone in front of other customers and said “I can’t do that it’s going to take a long time, you can go somewhere else.” I told her have patience with me I’m just explaining my issue. She said she was only going to take the top layer. She proceeded and start speaking in her native tongue to her coworkers and I said “I don’t want to be uncomfortable if you are speaking about me and I can go somewhere else.” She stoped the machine, lifted the arm chair for me to leave. Extremely unprofessional. She may have been having a bad day but that is no way to treat a customer.

If you’re looking for a new nail salon in the area… HERE IT IS! I don’t normally write reviews but I had to because I wish I found Obsession Nails sooner. I am SO picky with my nails and salons in general and I can’t say enough good things about this place! I moved to the area a year ago and have been going to a different salons but never left happy until I started coming here. I go to Lan for a gel mani and gel pedi but I have gotten my nails done by other techs here and they’re truly all great.The salon is clean (unlike a lot of others in the area), it’s easy to make an appointments online, good prices, theres a parking lot and most importantly… EVERYONE THERE DOES GREAT WORK! You leave with your nails looking good and know they are going to actually last. It’s obvious they use higher quality products than other salons like the keratin hand mask (which they don’t charge you extra for like every other place does).ALSO a big issue I had with other salons is that they all overbook or take too many walk-ins, so I REALLY APPRECIATE that Obsession Nails sticks to their schedules. Everytime I get there my nail tech is ready to do my nails and I’m not stuck waiting which is huge.Another thing to point out is the great atmosphere at the salon. I normally hate getting my nails done because it feels like a chore but I always find it to be enjoyable when I go here. It’s professional yet laid back– if you want something just ask because they are super accommodating.Again, I’m really not one to write reviews but I can’t say enough positive things about this salon– I’m truly suprised it isn’t busier than it is because its a GEM. Absolutely recommend!

I came and the second I sat all I could hear was gossip and laughter. Felt really uncomfortable. The lady did my nail and she don’t even clean my nails well, at the end she don’t put cuticle oil nor any hand lotion. Don’t recommend at all.

I normally like to paint my own nails, but I started coming here in my third trimester and I really like it. I always do my pedicure with Le and he kills it every time. The appointment system is really easy to use and I haven't had a problem getting an appointment on the weekends. The nail salon is very clean and the staff is very nice and welcoming.

The first two times I went it was great! The time before I last my eyebrows were waxed unevenly. The last time my gel polishes chipped on several fingers within one week. Since I did like their work at first my complaint is that they're inconsistent. I won't be going back.
