“I've been going to this shop since I was a little kid and I'm now in my late 20s. My grandfather always chose this shop just because Bobby was so honest, helpful and truly cared about his customers and there safety. He treated my Grandfather and my entire family like there own. Bob Mays, who runs the shop now, continues that same work ethic and care as he's helped my family in numerous situations. I bought a used 2020 Toyota Tacoma from a dealer in Rhode Island who sucked and they sold me a damaged car. Bob looked at it 3 separate times to make sure it was all set and he even called the dealer for me basically saying that if they didn't fix the damage he was going to go to the state. He only charged me for an inspection and a tire alignment when he easily could have charged me more. If you have ANY issue with your car I suggest you give them a call as they can fix just about anything. There basically like family to me and they treat others the same <3”

“Jimmy's Equipment Service has been nothing but superb by every metric imaginable. Drive a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk that I outfitted with custom breaks with red powder coated callipers that was tripping the sensor and preventing the emergent break from functioning. At first I went to an authorised Jeep dealership which quoted me a 750 dollar repair quote with an additionally dumb 200 dollar diagnostic fee. (950 dollars total) When I brought it to Jimmy's service they quickly diagnosed for free and got right to work on fixing the problem that cost 20% of what the dealership would have stolen, I mean , charged me for the same fix. The fix was stellar and I dare say much better quality service than any other place I have hired. Please make sure you give a tip as these people are high quality old school mechanics with a heart of GOLD. 12/10!”

“Over a decade ago, before they moved to their present location, my daughter was visiting from college. Her car had an unknown problem and she had to leave the next day. They fixed it, treated her with respect, did not feel like she was being taken advantage of, and the price was very reasonable. I have had my work and stickers done by them since then, both at the old and the new location. Recently my hybrid Honda needed a tune-up (the car died when I was out of town, it had a frozen gas line, I requested and paid for a diagnostic, the diagnosed work would have a 4-digit cost, I said I'd think about it and left). Xpress Lube diagnosed and did the work for around half the price, and my MPG increased about 5MPG ever since. I told them they don't charge enough for their work. If you want a sugar-coated explanation of what's wrong and a high price, go elsewhere. If you want a very honest and direct assessment, you will get that here. I prefer honest and direct.”

I originally went to their website, easily input my car info, it recommended great Pirelli tires and emailed me a quote.I made the appointment online, and Spencer had me send a photo of my current tires to make sure the tires quoted would fit. Took my car in, was greeted by Spencer and noticed the store was in good shape and very clean.When I picked up my car, the total was exactly as quoted. There were no B.S. add ons, no last minute additions, nothing. Exactly as quoted.You don't find this often in the tire business. You'll get a quote, but then when you get to the store, something was missed, added on, or needed but not quoted. Not here. At Kenwood, they honor their quote and provide great service.I'll be taking my wife's car there for tires this week, and will have both cars' oil changed here from now on. Really a professional, first class experience.Thanks again!”
