Used U-Pack and ABF Freight for an apartment move. The trailer had a hole in the roof and rusty water spilled on my stuff causing $731 of damage. They offered to reimburse me $121. Ridiculous that this happened at all and even worse that they aren't covering the damage when it was so clearly their fault.

They rescheduled my shipment three times with less than a day heads up each time and no communication from customer service. Also, each time I was on the hook for cancellation fees for the third party movers I had hired to move the equipment. I would recommend avoiding ABF at all cost.

Called me to schedule a delivery so I stayed home all day and then they no-showed. No phone call or communication. I had to call them and ask where my package was. Still haven’t gotten it.

All I can say is wow! Called to say our delivery would be within the hour and 10min later it was here. Phil the driver could not have been nicer or more helpful. Thank you for taking any stress out of this large item being delivered. Thank you!!!!

Freight has been in transit for weeks! Finally shows up as we're unloading another SCDEDULED truck to have the driver walk in ask how long it was going to take and just left with no explanation. Called customer service and Heather was wretched. Poor professionalism, poor quality. Not looking forward to seeing how smashed up these are!!

Customers should beware of ABF's blatant bait and switch tactics. ABF Freight is a LTL trucking company. Not a train. We recently obtained freight quotes from ABF that were quite low. As a result we booked the freight with them. When the shipments didn't arrive as scheduled, we called them. We were told that there would be significant delays because they had put our shipments on a train and there was nothing we could do to get these shipments back on schedule. At one point ABF's Steve Stearns advised us by email that while the freight from TX was no longer on a train it was now sitting in PA '"because the trailer is not full yet" to bring the freight to MA. These delays caused significant harm to our customers. It is now clear to us that they used a bait and switch tactic by quoting a lower freight price, all the while intending to move the shipments by rail, not by truck. We asked that they adjust the bill to reflect this slower level of service. We proposed that we basically split the bill. We realize that mistakes happen. But ABF's only response was to have their Theresa Strickland email us threatening to use a bill collector and have Cheryl Bianchi email "Jennifer" (there is no one here by that name) with a 'final demand for payment". Neither Sean Herron , Steve Stearns, nor T Michael saw fit to call us, although we have copied them in all of our emails. Why call a 105 year old customer when you can get some office people to send threatening emails? I urge anyone booking LTL freight to beware of such blatant tactics.
