I CAN'T THANK THEM ENOUGH FOR GETTING ME A NEW SPARE TIRE , I WAS A TOTAL STRANGER AND KEVIN BASICALLY STOPPED WHAT HE WAS DOING AND HAD ME A NEW TIRE IN LESS THAN 24 HRS., THEIR EMPLOYEE JOHN WAS PATIENT, POLITE AND SO QUICK GETTING THE TIRE ON. I DID MAKE IT TO CLINTON CONN.FOR MY DAUGHTER'S SURPRISE "50TH" PARTY. I HAD MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO THE SHOP TO SEE IF KEVIN HAD FOUND ME A TIRE, AND JOHN WAS SO PATIENT AND POLITE TO ME. I needed a new muffler, a few feet of pipe and exhuast hangers for an older (2005) Volvo. Kevin's quoted me $1200. $900 for the muffler part alone. He told me that was the cheapest part possible and that the genuine Volvo part would cost a fortune more.I found more than one site selling genuine Volvo mufflers for $450 and OEM mufflers online and at autozone for about $235. I passed on the job at Kevin's and took the car to my usual mechanic. I got the whole job done for $436 out-the-door (parts, labor and tax).My usual mechanic replaced all the same parts that were on the quote from Kevin's...for about 1/3 the price! Both shops used OEM parts. The total price difference was $764 ($436 vs $1200).I know that my usual mechanic does good work, I have been going there for 8 years and all the work and parts have held up.
