This is a wonderful place. I've been participating in the Intro to Zen evening classes for a couple of months now, and have also joined in-person a few times. Everyone is extremely kind and welcoming, and the teachings follow tradition while still remaining grounded in the present and relevant to the modern world. I'm very grateful that I've come across this center.

This is a wonderfully welcoming community where the practice of zazen, sitting meditation, is available at least twice a day by zoom, and with a few opportunities each week to meet again in person. I'm just returning to zen practice after a couple decades away and it's like riding a bike, the habits are coming back more easily than I expected, and it's been made even easier by the firm/gentle leadership offered by Myozen Joan Amaral. Grateful to find this community! ?

Excellent place for Zen meditation (beginner friendly), loving and supportive community if you're looking for fellowship. Greatly impressed with the Center's work and action for social justice and supporting diverse groups of people going through difficulties. I highly recommend it!

ZCNS is a wonderful community of practitioners. The sangha has a wise and compassionate teacher in Myozen Joan Amaral. The opportunity to sit with fellow seekers in ZCNS's regular schedule of events has been a great value to my practice and, by extension, a benefit to the community.

The Zen center is a place I go to learn to connect with the peace that resides deep inside. I also enjoy the social justice conversations on Monday nights. Overall, I am grateful for this welcoming communal space! ? ????♀️
