This is a new favorite shop in the seaside community of Wellfleet, MA. I purchased a driftwood Christmas Tree, and when I explained that it was going to be for my daughter’s Bridal Shower she generously went into the back room and gifted me a “Mr & Mrs” ornament! If you love supporting local small businesses like I do, this one is top notch!

I spend a week in Wellfleet every summer And shopping at Drift is one of the things I look forward to. I never know what I'm going to find there - but I always find something! The owner has a great eye for interesting and unique home goods. I usually end up doing a bunch of my Christmas shopping! Definitely worth a stop :)

This is a lovely little shop, and my daughter and I went in there last year and made a few purchases, including some earrings. This past week I went in and started to take a picture of the earring display to send it to my daughter to see what she might like. I was about to buy a pair for myself as well. As I was taking the picture with my cellphone, a saleswoman approached me and in an irritated voice said, "Are you taking a photo!?" I said yes, and she replied with, "we don't want people taking photos inside our store!". I said I was simply taking a photo to see if my daughter wanted anything at which point she said, "oh I guess that's ok." It was the way she approached me with such annoyance that I was already turned off at that point and walked out. They definitely lost a sale and I probably would have purchased more than the earrings. What is the harm in taking a photo in the first place? I've never heard that in any other shop. PS. Since I'm familiar with the brand of earrings, I will now go order online. Next time leave your customers be and just be grateful you have them.

We were staying in Wellfleet for the weekend and noticed your store and waited on Monday morning before heading home to visit the store the hours on the website were 11-3 we got to your store a few minutes before 11 in hopes to purchase one of the large wooden whales we had seen outside we waited until 1120a and the store did not open . We were very disappointed because the whale was just what we had been looking for . We also called the store number and the voicemail came on and said it messages were full so we could not even leave a message .
