“I adore this shop and the people who run it! They are so helpful, kind, and just pleasant to greet and chat with. They are all knowledgeable about wine and beer and I appreciate them very much!”
“I love this store they are affordable and the only place in Massachusetts that I have found this price for theses drinks (2 for $20). On the rocks is the best margarita I have had in a long time and they have so many other choices. Please stop by you won’t be disappointed ?”
“I really enjoy shopping at the Cork and Board. They have a wonderful selection of unique wines as well as beer, local bread, cheese, snacks and gifts too. The owner, Ryan, is great. It is my go-to spot when I need a bottle of wine for myself or to gift. They also have great tastings (check out the events page on their website). I couldn't recommend this place more!”
“I don't think I've ever gotten a bottle of wine I don't like here. Between them personally tasting every variety in the shop and giving tastes of new ones for customers, you are set up to get something you like at a reasonable price. They are great people to get to know and they consistently recommend good wines to try. *Highly* recommend Medfield Wine Shoppe.”
10AM - 10PM
369 Trapelo Rd, Belmont“The owner of this establishment is by far one of the coolest people I think I've ever met. He's so kind and so personable, not to mention that they have the craziest amount of wine from all over the place. I started by going to buy once a week but he always changes them up so there's always different stuff. And now he carries hard liquor too, and beer.”
11:30AM - 6:30PM
6 Worcester St, Natick“Friendly and helpful staff, that are happy to answer questions and make recommendations about their products. A nice craft beer selection, including a few great Vermont brands that are hard to find locally. I recently visited, having not been in the store for 20 years or more, and found it more open and spacious than I recalled. I will visit more often now.”
11AM - 8PM
1142 Beacon St, Newton“Very polite. But isn't accept bottle redemption.Apparently most liquor stores aren't accepting returns... Something about COVID... How is this allowed to happen?”
“I learn something about Italian wine every time I go here. A very well curated collection of regional Italian wines. We got great recommendations from David for wineries to visit on our last trip to Italy. Get on their email list! The reviews are great reads.”
“Web searching local champagnes lead me here and first time visiting. Very nice wine and cheese and more. Very nice and wide selection of RM growers Champagnes, largest I have seen around here. Impressive. Was able to talk with the kind and knowledgeable in-house wine guru, and heard some nice recommendations of Blanc de Noirs, and picked Eric Rodez Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Noirs for a special celebration. Enjoying every gold drop of it. Thank you very much for the recommendation! Will definitely visit again for another Blanc de Noir bottle.”
“Vast impressive selections for your ipa people! They are super helpful! You can put together a variety pack for sampling all the different kinds! Fun and a lucky place to have so close!”
“Excellent place with a good selection. Prices are a little higher but I don't mind because the staff is so friendly and I'd rather support my hometown business versus the big chains.”
“This is really the only store I go to for beer these days. John, the owner, is great to talk to and always has great suggestions based upon your target beer profile. The store itself has a great selection, and importantly keeps all the hoppy stuff cold to extend life.”
“The gentleman who helped me was super helpful, informative and never tried to upsell/push me. This store has a lot of different wines from all over with good pricing. I will be back. There's a small parking lot and two entrances Boylston and Heath st.”
“Never had any issues here and the place is huge with good prices, but I normally stop while running errands mid week in the late mornings. The place is always empty during this time frame, yet I have never been asked if I needed any help by any staff member.”
“I wish their chilled beer selection was a little better, but they stock a good selection of wine and the store is well organized and clean. Staff is fantastic and are always happy to help and offer suggestions, and their delivery is the best. I was going to put four stars, but I'm giving five just because of the customer service.”
“Amazing service at the Wine Cellar! John went above and beyond to get us a case of the wine we wanted at a great price. This wine was really hard to get in the Northeast. The Wine Cellar brought it in and John called me to tell me he had it and was going to ship it to me in 2 days. Who does this these days? He has a customer for life, this store is highly recommended! “If you want pretentious go somewhere else. If you want to explore fantastic and differentiated wines at a great value while supporting a local business, go to or call Beaver Brook Bottles. If you can handle a bit of chaos and are willing to ask what’s drinking well, even if you are knowledgeable, you will be richly rewarded.”

979 Main St, Millis“Very friendly staff its always service with a smile. Great selection across the board and will even special order beers or wines for you if they can get them. Worth a visit.”
“Been to my fair share of liquor shops across the world. This is one of the better curated shops anywhere. The staff are amazing too. In addition to wines, beer, liquor, etc they also carry some great ice cream, fresh bread (on certain days), jams, hot sauce, small gifting items.”
“Having lived in the area for 5+ years, I just wish I had discovered this store sooner! Deceptively large store with a great selection of products. In particular, a fine selection of bourbon whiskey at very competitive pricing for the area (aside from some of the more recently hyped-up bottles which are priced accordingly). The guys at the counter are also very friendly and more than willing to help you find what you're looking for. Definitely worth the trek from north of route 9!”

1138 Main St, Millis“Bob is just fantastic. He really knows everything and will always steer you in the right direction. He’s made me look like an expert with his recommendations and he does it in a completely nonjudgmental manner!”
“Literally the nicest friendliest liquor store in newton. Incredible staff. Great selection of wine and beer. Lots of local craft options. Never had a single problem using my MA ID here. Close to Newton Highlands T stop and T Bus. Highly recommend”

“UPDATE THE MOST UNUSUAL wine shop in the Boston area, that imports all their own wines directly (many of which no one else imports to the US), and hidden in a basement in Newton. There was an article about them on Forbes: Updating because Ansonia is back open again, post-COVID, for the once a month 10AM-2PM Saturday "Owner's Hours" free tasting (typically 10+ bottles open). They do a good job explaining each wines backstory. You can find the schedule on their website here: The other three Saturdays of the month, they are open for browsing and picking up wines previously ordered. Easy parking in the lot out front. More details in my previous reviews below.”
10AM - 8PM
6 Milliston Rd, Millis“The name says it all. They have all the liquor, beer and wine you could ever want. Massive selection and pricing is fair. I usually only stop here when I'm shopping at Roche. Very convenient in that way.”
“I've only gone in a few times for little things, but the service is top notch! I was tasked in getting a bottle of wine for the holidays and was told to get a Pinot with a pretty label and I offered my price range. He gave me three options. The two gentlemen behind the registers are really friendly, helpful and kind.”
“Very cute little shop with fun and great quality products from all across Europe.
Linda (as well as the 2 other gentlemen) is so warm and welcoming and offered great advice on their products. Their flourless cookies are incredible; crispy on the outside, fluffy like meringue and nutty with some fudge on the inside. The homemade chutney and curry cheese is super delicious. Favorite shop in Wellesley ❤️”
