December 2023 by S and S
Wasn’t sure what to get my husband for the holidays. I decided round of golf for him and his friend at Wayland country club. I was traveling from Marlboro. I called spoke to a wonderful person that said he would wait for me until I got there. It’s just two days before the Christmas weekend. I’m sure he had better things to do but he waited for me when I walked in the door because I promised him I would be there before 3 o’clock. He said with a big smile are you, Sandy? That was me. I cannot say enough about Jonathan waiting for me. He went above and beyond patiently waiting until I got there to give this Christmas gift. I think I have decided to take and in the spring I will go back to Wayland and see if I can hack up their course, I will probably need a few lessons maybe more than a few, but it is because Of Jonathan‘s kindness act of waiting for me that I will select you folks to Teach me to play golf. What a wonderful representation of your country club, There should be more Jonathan’s in the world. I talked to him three days ago. How the hell he remembered my name I have no idea, but God bless him.!

Easiest course to walk . Course feels longer than it is. Very nice greens. Great bunch of inner club members.

Played golf there with High School friends. The course was in good shape, tee positions for women, seniors, men and “pros”. Friendly people on the drink cart, course and restaurant.

Beautiful course. Nice flat and wide fairways with interesting greens. $80 for 18 holes with carts. Taking one star off because holes are quite close to each other with few protection nets/trees. It was a busy Sunday and we heard people shouting “fore” here and there.

Played here in early October 2023 in 72 degree weather. It had rained the two days before however, so the course was still somewhat waterlogged and of course, cart path only. We still would have had a good time though, except for a group of four that somehow snuck in front of our foursome right before starting the back 9. Otherwise, the fairways were a little too tight for comfort- on multiple holes we had to pause play because other groups had sliced their balls onto our fairway.

Two different courses! Front of the course up until 11 is great for a public course. Then you get to the back and it's a disaster. Holes on top of each other, swaths of fairways non existent. I'd say the front is well worth the hefty green fees but the back makes you feel like you are in a mud race....

Wayland Country Club is a really nice course. They have good food in the clubhouse which is air conditioned. The fairways and greens are in great shape. The tee boxes are just a little bit beat up but not real bad. We golfed there several times this summer, 2023. We'll definitely be going back again.

Great for senior golf, easy to walk, very well maintained, friendly staff and cold beer!

Booked tee times for two groups, and the day after we booked they called and told us they gave away our times. The guy on the phone was also an asshole making assumptions about our group and doing their best to make sure they never get my business again.

I did not appreciate how this place handled the situation when one golfer kept calling the clubhouse claiming we were too slow. We were playing ready golf and playing best ball. I do not appreciate being harassed by other golfers, especially on Father’s Day or being monitored. It was late in the day too. This has never happened here before and we’ve been here many times. I understand it’s busy but please do better and think before you call the clubhouse. Or have them play through. Its not a fun experience regardless. Also they were trying to do 18!! And we couldn’t let them through?

Customer service is great. Course is in great shape considering the amount of play it gets. Easy walking course. Food is good clubhouse fare and the service is great. Everyone is friendly. Owners don't treat you like they're doing you a favor like some courses. Book as early as you can because tee times fill up quickly.

Recently moved to the area. Began playing golf after a 10 year absence. Very friendly environment and staff. Conditions were favorable.Rates for seniors are a good value. I look forward to playing there a lot!

Have played the course before and it is a little more expensive for the conditions than other places we have played in the area. Wanted to bring a larger group to the course to play, and was willing to work with the them to just get a group of tee times, without any event coordination from the staff, but was informed they are "not adding any additional events" and was hung up on by Tom as I was trying to ask a follow up question. Disappointing interaction, not your place if looking for larger groups.
