The course is in the best shape I've ever seen it! Props to John and the boys working hard over there. Greens are perfect and fast! You can see the new superintendent has really improved the entire place. I highly recommend playing there

If it has rained within a week of your tee time, cancel it. This course has zero drainage solutions, each hole you’ll be standing in mud. Bring water, a brush and a rag because every time you hit you’ll need to fully clean your club. $92 for a round with a cart on the weekend.. and that also includes a 5+ hour pace, unfriendly staff (aside from the guy checking you in at the pro shop) and a very mismanaged course. I played here on 10/1, wish I went anywhere else. You drive the ball in the middle of the fairway? Likely you’ll be plugged several inches deep. 2 stars instead of 1 because the weather was nice and a couple of the holes were decent and fun, but everything else was embarrassing. @SandyBurr you should consider charging a lower rate when the course looks like a swamp.

Great golf course. Fun Donald Ross layout. Greens are lightning ⚡ fast so be prepared. As a 16 handicap I struggled and recently shot a 96. I'll be back for revenge.

We had our wedding at Sandy Burr last weekend and it was the perfect venue for us. Debbie the event coordinator was incredibly kind from the moment we were interested and she really made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. The space itself was beautiful and perfect for our smaller wedding of 60, but you could easily fit more! I really loved that the venue didn't need many decorations, had accessible bathrooms, had great places to take pictures right on site AND you absolutely cannot beat the price. All in all, 10/10 for us!

I am not a great golfer, so I will leave reviews of the course to others. What caused me to take the time to post a review is how wonderful the food service was in the clubhouse.Angel has been the food and beverage manager for over 20 years. The commitment he has made to this family owned golf course is evident in the caliber of the bar meals available. You can read the menu on the easel at the bar, so this is not about a long list of offerings, or fancy food. What Angel invests in is the quality of the ingredients. The Burger Patty for my Sandy Burr Burger was full of flavor, grilled just as I requested and obviously top quality beef. It came with steak fries, that were crisp and airy. Gorgeous slices of tomato, leaf lettuce, melted cheese and crunchy bacon topped my burger. With both indoor and outdoor seating, a wide range of beers on tap, craft beer options, High Noon Sun Sips, solid wine choices and a full bar of spirits, this is a great spot for a classic, casual lunch or dinner. You don't even have to golf a round to pop in for a bite. Often Angel is behind the bar himself. He will make you feel welcome and take pride in serving you just what you are craving. Reuben, wings, steak and cheese subs are just a few of the other choices. If you are in the Wayland area stop by. They are only open during the golf season.

Played last weekend....Course was in great shape........ Staff was super friendly. Greens were lightning fast and all had angry and hurtful pin placements.... I swear they mowed them twice and rolled them before our match. I'm still having nightmares about them!!

Friendly people and it’s not difficult to get a tee time- that said I didn’t find the course itself very enjoyable. There were a lot of close-proximity tee boxes and greens- we found that we were frequently cross crossing with the other foursomes. The course is quite well maintained though, and the greens are fast and challenging. Also note that the restaurant food selection is threadbare (they had one hot dog left at 3pm).

Nice job has been done bringing Sandy Burr back from the horror show it was in the 1960- 1970+ era. It is very enjoyable to play.
