Unfortunately my experience was not the best, the proprietor wanted to overcharge me for the work I wanted done (simple sole replacement) and talked me into just patching the existing soles (still at a rather steep price). When I picked up my boots, the repair looked rather amateurishly done. Add to that, less than 2 months later and the "repair" is already coming delaminated. At this point I will just try to repair them myself, and barring that, I will take them someplace else.

Old time cobbler. The smell of leather is in the air as you enter through the doors. The owner provides a custom quote and is a skilled craftsman. Turn around time is about 10 days.

I wanted to fix my shoes because it was severely damaged ( I just didn't have the heart to throw them away) I was new in the town so called town hall shoe repair. I wanted to get pricing on my damaged shoes so I called to see how much it would cost me. Lovely young gentlemen picked up the phone and told me they had to see the shoes in person for them to give me the pricing range on the shoes. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a genuine interest in my repair needs. He took the time to carefully assess the damage and explain the repair process to me, giving me an accurate timeline for when I could expect to have my shoes back. When I picked up my shoes, I was amazed at the results. They looked as good as new, with no visible signs of the previous damage. The attention to detail and quality of workmanship was truly outstanding. The town hall Shoe Repair clearly takes pride in their craft, and it shows in the exceptional work they do. I couldn't be happier with the service I received and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of shoe repair. Five stars all around!!!THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVES :)

Town Hall Shoe Repair took my much-loved 15 yr old penny loafers and made them new again: I love these shoes, it takes at least 8 years to break them in just right, and at 15 years old they felt "just right" BUT they looked awful. At the bare minimum, they needed new heels but I decided to go big time (since I don't want to wait a decade to break in a new pair) and had them thoroughly cleaned and conditioned. No matter how many times I hear it, I never think to condition leather shoes until they look awful and are cracking (or about to do so). Don't make my mistake if you love your shoes (or leather bag)! A few days later, I picked up my shoes and they look brand-new (without the long break-in time); for about 60% less than the cost of a new pair, I just gained another 10+ years of life from my shoes. Great little place on Main St, definitely go in with you you need repaired!

I came in last week with 3 purses in need of minor repairs. All 3 look fantastic and the price was very reasonable. Turn around time was less than a week. Just note, the hours under which they currently operate are 9-4:30 Monday-Saturday, which is different than what is posted online or on the door. I will definitely come here again if anyone in my family needs a shoe or purse repair!

The owner/person running the store was friendly, polite, and absolutely knew what he was talking about in terms of resoling repairs. We ran into a bit of mutual misunderstandings re what kind of sole would actually end up on my hiking shoes, so I ended up with a vibram sole with a little less grip/traction than I ideally wanted, but for something that I expect will extend the life of my well used vasque hiking boots for at least another year or two of regular on and off road hiking, I'm still very satisfied. I paid $40 up front and $40 once the job was finished. The task took about a week, and I've seen absolutely no issues with the boots so far once I wore the new soles in. Well worth it! Re COVID precautions: I wish they'd been wearing a mask before I walked in the door, but the owner masked up as soon as I did walk in and hang back.

I went in to replace plastic cleats he installed a week ago with metal ones. He told me that the metal cleats were 3$ more. I was charged 10$ total for the plastic ones. I assumed with the additional 6$ cost plus a similar installation fee I might expect 20$ or 25$ at the most, but 40$? So here's some detail.I do construction work and believe for the work done, I was signifigantly over charged. Particularly when I checked with other shoe repair places. In addition I had come in to correct previous work he did with an up grade because the nails used were poking my heel and the plastic cleat had worn down after a week. Today less than 24 hours later the screws he used for the the metal cleat are now stabbing my heel.Knowing what I know of such things he should have known better than to use a screw of the same length as the nails. It's obvious to me if you must use those screws snip the ends so they don't do the same thing. I especially resent that the screws are screwed into my new custom made inserts that correct a foot problem. He was told about them, but apparently didn't listen.I've been a fairly long term customer, reasonably satisfied. We'll call that a 2.5 out of 5. Nothing to write home about (I know people don't write letters) But my business now?
