First two visits were fine and a nice vet helped with our puppy’s ear infection and medication for his allergies.
Today’s visit- the vet was one we had not seen before. She was an older woman and she really spoke at us instead of to us or with us.
She made incorrect assumptions about what our dog eats and his vaccines and the medications hes on. She could of just asked us. She also charged us for a tick test that she implied she did not actually do because “isint he on simparca?”
This place has records of all of our dogs vaccines and medications and this vet just couldnt be troubled. Maybe she was tired on a Friday afternoon.
I honestly wrote a much much harsher and more critical review a few hours ago but I dont think it was beneficial to share all of the details of how little this vet made us feel and how uncared for our little fur partner was.
I hope this was a one off situation and maybe this vet got her medications confused or had too much caffeine or something. Next time someone who is supposed to provide medical care does not introduce themselves and immediately jumps to totally incorrect conclusions about things they should easily be able to see in their records and talks very quickly at me, i will know to walk out right away.
Thank you to the first dr who helped our pup but this third visit was so painful that we can never go back and put our dog in a situation where they can get extra vaccines, incorrect medication, and a question whether the exams that were supposed to be done were actually performed.
I hope this doctor reads this review and finds it an opportunity to reflect. I could tell she really liked Senge’ and has kindness in her. But we just wanted to be talked to in a kind respectful way.
If there is any chance your pet will be seen by this dr, I recommend you look elsewhere.

I can't say enough about Dr. Campbell and her staff. We have been going there for 13 or 14 years and always feel like my pets are in great hands. My dog can be difficult and they are patient and kind.

I had such a terrible experience with Dr. Campbell that I am changing vets. My friend, who also brings her pet here, is doing the same. We are mortified. Be very careful when you choose a veterinarian for your cherished pet.

Dr. Campbell and Pet Haven took such good care of our dog Odie. The team was always professional, extremely knowledgeable, and caring. They gave us great comfort when he was sick. This is an outstanding vet practice.

Practice refused to see my sick cat with swallowing issues and lesion under his tongue. The next available appointment offered was in a week when I clearly described that he is unable to eat and could die. It seems because he hasn't been seen by them since 2020 because of their lack of availability when I tried scheduling wellness appointments for him, they feel no responsibility for his welfare! Completely heartless and would definitely not recommend them!

I ABSOLUTELY love pet haven! Dr. Campbell is hands down the best! She tells it like it is and is up front and honest! ONLY person that I've let do surgery on my 13yo apbt. This will be her 3rd and I trust none other than the team over at PET HAVEN! They are the absolute best!! ****HIGHLY RECOMMEND*****

Over the course of about 8-9 years in Watertown, we've brought 3 of our cats here, and I cannot describe how compassionate and professional they are. We love them so much that despite moving to Quincy and now having to Uber about 45 minutes for appointments, we are still taking our elderly cat to them (and it was a difficult choice to pick a closer vet for our new cat). I feel like we see Dr. McCarthy most of the time, but we've seen Dr. Campbell too, and have nothing but praise for the both of them! I think I've seen some reviews that Dr. Campbell is "a bit gruff," and I think she might come off that way at first, but she has still always been kind to us and our cats. Dr. McCarthy is so sweet and friendly and happy to explain everything and answer any questions, and both of them really come across as personally invested in our cats. They've always been extremely understanding about budget concerns (and prices are the most reasonable I've encountered), and up to date on recent studies and remedies/treatments for any issues. They handled putting our other elderly cat to sleep (when she was 20, a good old age) and were so extremely kind and supportive in our time of distress (and later grief) when we had an emergency with another cat. Pet Haven always seems packed and busy with business, but I never feel like our cats aren't getting the time and attention they deserve there, and when we've had urgent concerns they've been able to get us in same-day or the next-day (I wouldn't expect that for less urgent stuff, though -- they're busy!). All in all, we've been coming here a long time, and only have the highest praise for Pet Haven. I recommend them to my friends in the area, and if you're the area, you should absolutely consider them the top of the list for caring for your pet. They love cats, and they love their patients.

I am so so happy with Pet Haven. I had switched to a different place that was more convenient for me to travel to for a year or two, but quickly switched back here! The extra time to drive there is worth it -- they listen to you, they're super thorough, and they do a great job of fitting you in when issues come up.
