Updated: At this point I would have to agree with MMM's post below. The same person, Christine, is a real problem. After my initial post... I emailed her back a few more times and stated I would be stopping by their place to complete the order. She finally replied and said she could not work with me told me to find another dealer. I told her I didn't find her service acceptable given my history with that business and that I still planned to stop by (to talk with management or anyone else willing to help me). She then replied saying that if I stopped by that she would call the police and that they weren't interested in being my dealer with my "aggressive attitude." This is an insane over-reaction after her snarky attitude and lack of replies created the frustration in the first place. Absolutely narcissistic behavior. Again... I am a longstanding customer who ordered a full house worth of doors from them over the course of several years. Shocking that this is the approach they chose to take.Original post:Good selection but very mediocre to poor service (at least who I have worked with). I have spent over $20k at this place over the past several years while doing a full house renovation. The original person I worked with was decent to work with but never all that helpful with guidance or selection. At some point he either left or lost his job and the next person I have been working with seems only interested in writing orders. I got a quote on a door and thought it was really high relative to others I had ordered and asked for some suggestions for ways to reduce cost and got very short and snarky replies. I have since emailed twice trying to get a door on order and am now being completely ignored by this person. Overall, they have a good range of products and competitive pricing and probably better than a box store to work with... just know that it is probably hit or miss regarding service.

I met with Jane on Nov 1st for a custom door order. We revewied all the necessary specs. I was told that the quote would take a few days. After a couple of weeks, I called and left a message. No return call, no quote. Just called again, on 12/28. I had to remind her who I was and the quote I was waiting for. No sense of urgency, no apology for the delay. Go elsewhere! They don't deserve your time nor hard earned money.

If i can do zero stars I would. STAY AWAY from this company. We’re building a new house, reached out 10 weeks ago for indoor doors for the new house (brand trustile, more than 17 doors and each of them worth around $1500) we explained and emphasized to Christine Raymond, the sales person who helped us ordering the doors, that we need something that doesn’t have a long lead time because we need to move into the house ASAP before our lease is up. Turns out that she lied to us about the lead time and said we’re going to get the doors from this brand in less than 3 weeks and they are pretty Fast. Now, 9 weeks after, until this day, we haven’t received our doors and the whole project is pending because of the doors, and on top of it, she’s bee avoiding responding to our emails and phone calls, she is completely unprofessional and rude in the way she talks to us, she’s completely careless that our project is on hold and she hasn’t showed the slightest effort that she cares or trying to do her best to follow up and try to speed things up. Horrible horrible experience.

Reached out for 7 customized wood window since there are great review about this company here on google. Basically standardized double hang windows.But unfortunately, JELD-WEN or any other brand they carry will not be able to build the windows I was looking for. I couldn't speak to other service, but customizability is very limited based on my case.

Everyone I worked with here was very nice; however, I ordered several long lead item doors, and when they arrived, they were not the exact items I had specified in the door schedule (wrong sticking on 3 doors, fir instead of mahogany on a fourth door).

I had a terrible experience with this company about 10 years ago, but was dealing with caring for elders at the time, so did not have time to post. I ordered windows for my entire home through their company from a manufacturer based in CA. The windows looked OK at first until a friend came over and noticed that some were flush, some were not; some had round screws, some had square, etc. There were countless attempts to remedy, and all of them failed. Finally had to take legal action, and I prevailed. The owner, at the time, claimed she had never been sued before and always gives great customer service. From the many other negative reviews on here, that seems doubtful, at best. Buyer beware; go elsewhere!!!

I tried to place an order for 11 doors with Macleod and Moynihan because I heard they were supposed to be really good. I emailed them my list of 11 door sizes and the style number of the door I wanted to purchase. After I didn't head back for a week, I gave them a call, the representative I spoke to on the phone found the email and said she would get back to me with a quote. Then she called me back and said quoting 11 doors was too much work, and said she would quote 1 door. I responded that I needed 11 doors for my project and I needed to place the order. She suggested that she would like to quote a different manufacturer than what I requested. I said it would be fine to see the alternative, but to please also quote what i asked for. It's now been over two weeks since we spoke and I still haven't gotten a quote yet. If this is the customer service they plan to give me, I am taking my $11,000 door order elsewhere.

Very slow to respond. The salesman rarely returned phone calls or emails. Also the delivery date changed several times without informing me. I had to call to keep checking. these people don't care about their customers....only the cash. Don't use them for anything!!

Buyer Beware. This company does Switch and Bait! I spent 1.5hr in shop on Weds and I was given the prices for the windows i wanted. The sales person even gave me a piece of paper so i could write down the numbers as she told me.) She said she was busy but she would write up the estimate and send to me with a few other prices i asked for the next morning, Thurs. I called Thurs afternoon, reminding her that time was of the essence as i needed to order the windows. Meanwhile i called a Marvin store in CT who confirmed the basic price she gave me (their price was a little different). No quote on Thurs. I called on Friday and asked a different sales person to quote me and i finally got her quote which was 20% higher than what she quote when i was in the shop sitting at her desk. Then i asked to speak with a manager, and someone first identified themselves as a manager, and then confessed at the end of our conversation that he was not the manager. He said " you have no proof that we quoted you 20% less." Of course i did, i wrote everything down on the paper she gave and repeated to her the numbers" . We had a full conversation about it. I mentioned Switch and Bait laws, and he said that without proof i had nothing. Not a good way to treat customers. Buyer beware. I would never shop for windows or doors at this store. Unless you don't mind bad treatment and higher than quoted prices

I ordered a screen door from this company and after countless conversations about how the door should be measured and issues related to the specific door reviewing pictures and measurements I was elated to order a product that I thought I would be happy with. Alas after following the instructions of my Mac Leod and Moynihan sales person the door does not fit. There goes $700 down the toilet. They will not honor a refund even though this is a stock item from the company. A total waste of time and a huge disappointment.

Spent about an hour with Sales Associate, Tom, at the showroom who was informative at the time. I provided pictures and dimensions of the windows I was looking to have replaced, and Tom said he'll contact a contractor to get a rough estimate and follow up with me in a few days. I didn't hear from him, so about a week later I sent him a follow up email. No reply from Tom. I called and left a voicemail a few days later. No return call either. Another few days later I called the office and left a message with someone else who said Tom will be in shortly, and he'll pass on my name and phone number. Again, no return call. What a waist of time. An easy return email or call saying they can't help me right now would have been better customer service than what I received.

Jeff helped me through every step of the way at MacLeod and Moynihan Window and Door. I went there and looked at the windows and doors in person. He spent as much time as I needed and explained the different options, which was very helpful. Whenever I had questions about how the windows operated, he was quick to respond - even 1.5 years after I bought the windows! I highly recommend this store.
