Great place I have been going for year's when Ricky told me he's retiring and I told everyone who goes I told them Ricky was selling stthe shop and we all agreed that was sold it shut down for a few days wr opened we all went to see the
place was great the new crew where so nice and help us so for the first day I give it a 8-or 9.

Grosssssssssss! We bought two bottles of Chiant that was literally junk. When opened it was brown and smelled like cooking sherry. 1 star because they (begrudgingly) gave our money back. Disgusting

Rude service, staff literally said nothing. Ridiculously overpriced. Bought 2 bottles of chianti that were rancid. Two stars ONLY because I returned them the next day and they did give me a full refund!

They say the closing time is at 11pm, I got there 10:47pm and there was a man by the door to let only shoppers to get out and no one else in.It was supposed to be a quick trip. Get in, grab, pay and go. I knew what I was looking for. But he didn't allow me in.

I was charged a $0.50 service charge for credit cards. I didn't check until after I paid. There was no signage for it, and they didn't mention it at checkout.

I rarely give a 1 star review but I witnessed something today that I thought was rude. I live around the corner and come here to buy lottery tickets when the jack pot is large or to buy liquor for a special occasion. Today, the person behind the counter berated a young a man (he did look young, I will give him that) that was simply looking around - not buying yet, looking. He told him he was too young to be in the store and he should leave. The young man showed him his ID (25 years old, BTW) and then just huffed off - No apology, no "I'm sorry" - maybe he thought this "kid" was up to know good (neighborhood kid - nice guy). The young man sulked off. This incident left a bad taste and I put all my stuff back and left.

Probably the best whiskey collection I've seen in the area.However, the prices are very high for their whiskey. The staff did not really seem to want to work with me, given the high end whiskey I was asking for, but they were quick to answer me most of the time.Overall, underrated whiskey selection - probably the best I've seen in Boston.

Surprisingly high prices. Guess that's what you pay when you need something last minute and this is the only liquor store in walking distance.
