I learn something about Italian wine every time I go here. A very well curated collection of regional Italian wines. We got great recommendations from David for wineries to visit on our last trip to Italy. Get on their email list! The reviews are great reads.

Uneven experience all around. Noticably uninterested staff. Even after he finally engaged. Found selection pretty thin and generally pricey. Clearly set up for dinners with retail a distant second. I won't return.

Vino Italiano is an Italian only wine shop that specializes in high end wine. Located at the top of Moody Street, on Main St, it's easy to miss. Good: selection is great, it's organized very well, and if you collect high end wine, you can do well here. They also have high end dinners (with the food coming from their restaurant, La Campania, located just down the street) where they bring in a wine maker and pair the wines with food. It's fabulous! Average: while the store is very open about being Italian wine focused, that's tough to swallow as it's super, super narrow in focus. I love Italian wine but I rarely go out of my way to buy just Italian wine and that has held me from shopping here more. The prices are local store retail type prices. Not tons of value. Bad: the staff is often pretty inattentive.

Rather disappointing. I had been curious about this place since I live in Waltham. My GF and I were going for dinner at Gustazo next door and decided to stop in. I was not clear what this place and the person working was very snobby and said 'we're a wine shop'. the store is nicely laid laid out and has some solid wines. My GF is an expert on Italian wines and was commenting how good the wines are, but the attendant decided not to engage us at all, even tough her and I were discussing the wines. He seemed more interested on he music playing than on helping his customers. We certainly would have bought a bottle or two, but I was completely turned off by his attitude.

Knowledgeable, friendly, low-key, curated selections baaed on in-depth expertise. If you know Italian wines, this is a great resource. If you want to learn more, try one of their tasting dinners. Incredible wines, delicious small plate selections from 5-star La Campania and all the Italian wine knowledge you can absorb...and more.

Was here for a private holiday dinner/wine tasting. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very intimate, and the service was great.
