This organization does great things for all communities in and around Boston. They operate shelters, food pantries, and many other programs.

Can anyone help? My daughter is one of their clients, she has been wrongfully incIncarcerated for the past two months pending release of video footage whichWas court ordereD on June 30th. She was living in a shelter with her child, a shelter run by this program. They just told me if I don’t come and get her and the babies things that it will go to the trash. The woman identified herself as “Dobbie” another that I spoke to this morning “Gezelle”. This program receives federal funding, as well as your contribution and donations to prevent homelessness, my daughter is incarcerated but not sentenced she is awaiting a bail, they already took everything from her and now should everything she worked her for go in the trash? This is the difference between real parents and state system racist institutions when the going gets rough they get moving to the next exactly why all of those funds due to their so called “aged out population “ is not getting to them! Should you sponsor them or contribute to this program (that already received federal funding and tax breaks) when they can’t even store the only things your only possessions in this world? Storage?

I stayed at this shelter for 4 months in 2017. The amount of abuse I weathered from the Assistant Mgr and the Housing Staff Mgr was absolutely unbelievable. This was done because I was willing to work hard to further my life. They didn't like that.I finally had to leave because the abuse got so bad. I gave Bob Mills (the CEO) every opportunity to address the situation properly - but he wouldn't do it. He refused to ever respond to my very serious accounts of harassment from the staff and how they were affecting everyone in the shelter.Fast forward 3 years and I am happy and healthy in a quality home with a fiancé. Recently I ran into one of the women who was in this shelter with me. It seems the Housing Mgr who had caused me most of this trouble began stealing clients' medication, was selling them and using them, and has now DIED of an overdose. If Bob Mills had intervened as he should have, that woman's life might have been saved.

I recently spoke with a representative from this agency regarding the poor conditions of some of the surrounding shelters. This person was deeply concerned that certain shelters are not safe for women. I agree having had a very bad experience with one in particular. Rules and common courtesy must be honored by all in order for any of these places to work. After all it's the human thing to do.

Worst agency ever!!!!!!!!! Their clients horribly the shelters are not up to par case workers and supervisors are very unprofessional and unknowledgeable. There is barely any communication between the workers. Staff and case workers harass and discriminate clients.****AND NOW THEY ARE WATCHING ONE OF THERE SHELTERS IN BOSTON ON THE PHONES FROM HOME!!! CREEPY THAT THEY ARE INVADING RESIDENTS PRIVACY ITS NOT FOR SAFTY IT SO THEY CAN SPY ON THE PEOPLE IN THE SHELTER!! AND ITS SO SAD THEY HAVE TO SPY ON US FROM HOME WHEN THEY CAN NOT EVEN STEP FOOT IN THE SHELTER TO CHECK ON IT WHAT A PITIFUL SITE SUPERVISOR LAZIST I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!
