I have taken two classes at Metalwerx and I can't say enough good things. Fantastic teachers, a great studio that is run thoughtfully! Safety and care of tools is always communicated. Easy to park, easy to grab lunch up the street at the sandwich shop. Take a class and you will love it!! Great for beginners or more advanced jewelers (I wrote a book about jewelry making and I learn something every time I'm here )

Diane did a fantastic job in the beginners jewelry class I took. I walked away with several skills I am excited to build on! Diane kept us on schedule and I had a lot of fun! Peg was the TA and I’m so grateful for her patience with me!

Metalwerx is an amazing community of metalsmiths and instructors that I can't say enough positives about. The classes are top notch and are taught by the best of the best. The virtual classes are absolutely fantastic, especially wonderful during the covid-19 era, and they are well put together. Their symposiums are awesome. Yea. I love Metalwerx and have advanced and developed my skills by attending this treasure of a school.

Some of the teachers are pretty terrible. Be aware not to choose Patrick McMillan’s class, you will spend money & time by learning nothing and be INSULTED. If you already chose his class, be sure to ask him give you the materials kit you already paid in your tuition, otherwise, he will keep all of them by himself. Shame on him.

I teach workshops all over the country. You will not find a better run, more well equipt studio anywhere. The level of professionalism of the staff is very high. The student body is well rounded from beginners to advanced. They have local instructors as well as visiting masters. The community of makers in the area makes METALWERX Wonderful and diverse. You can not go wrong taking a workshop, renting a bench or a small studio here, its THAT GOOD.
