I love going to this local history spot for their various events and tours. Even when there are not events or tours scheduled it is worth to have a walk around the lovely estate grounds. There's so many wonderful happenings to attend and ways to connect with the community as well as the communities of the past.

Gore is the BEST. I'd call it a well-kept secret but obviously people flock here for the Sheep Shearing Fest. But most of the time it's just the most peaceful, lovely spot to walk around, throw a frisbee, see the animals etc. There are parts of the property where you truly feel like you're in the Berkshires or something.
Gore Place is a 50-acre country estate in the city, a grand mansion steeped in history, a farm and an invaluable community resource. April 2022 update: Our business office is open regular hours. We are back to a regular schedule of daily programs. Come visit us!
