Amazing auto body repair shop. I’ve never experienced a shop that goes to bat against the insurance companies to repair my car completely and correctly. Their expertise turned at $450 insurance estimate into $3k estimate. Job done completely and correctly. Thank you owners Joe and Eric…you exceeded expectations!

After researching & making a list of all 5 star auto body locations, I was expecting a long day of visiting many locations before I would've made a decision. However I stopped at J & A 1st. I met Eric whom was happy to take the time to explain everything. He is very confident in his knowledge & experience which was all I needed. First stop & I made my decision. Him & his staff seem genuinely trustworthy & were very professional & friendly. They gave me an appt asap so I will review again once my car is done but I have no question that they will do a great job!

We were very pleased with the work on our Toyota Prius. There was clear communication, and Joe and Eric did everything they could to minimize our costs and make our car even better than it was before. If it didn't have our license plate on it I would barely have recognized it when we picked it up!

Great experience with this shop. Joe and Eric went above and beyond in dealing with the insurance company. From doing doing research to appraise my 1974 plymouth scamp to helping get fully reimbursed for money spent on Ubers, they fought to get me as much as the could for for my car. They even spoke on my behalf when the insurance company attempted to pin last minute storage fees on me. They definitely know the laws in and out behind insurance claims. They even showed me around and let me view a 69 camero they are rebuilding. These guys know thier stuff and I would highly recommend!

J&A Auto body is the place to go!!! I accidentally backed up into something causing a huge dent on my hatch back. I called Joe and he took my car right in to fix it! I received my car back in pristine condition; fully detailed with no sign of the dent!!! Very professional, clean, quick, easy, stress free, etc. Very happy !! Couldn’t recommend more!!

This shop is the best around!! They fought the insurance company when they didn’t want to pay! They look out for customers best interests at all times!! I wouldn’t bring my car anywhere else.The secretary is also extremely kind and helpful when setting up repair dates and helping w a rental while my car was repaired. She knows her job and makes sure to make the process a breeze.They’ve also detailed my car for me many times and they go above and beyond in this service too. They remove every single stain and thoroughly clean every crevice w extreme detail.I’ve been using them for the last 15 years for good reason. Their service can’t be beat!!

My 2008 Honda Civic got rear-ended and I took it to J&A off the recommendation of a relative. It ended up getting totaled and even though I sold it to insurance, Eric walked me through the process every step of the way. He told me what exactly to say to the adjustor to get the most amount of money for the car. 10/10 service

This is the best auto body shop in Massachusetts!! They have been my go to shop for the last almost 10 years and I won’t go anywhere else for any vehicle needs. They are very reasonable with the time they take on your vehicle and the work they put out is exceptional. There have been numerous times where the insurance tried to pull things and they fought for me to have everything done correct, fixed with new parts etc. There was even a time when my vehicle had gotten totaled and my insurance tried to lowball the value of the car and Eric and his team fought for us through the whole process and even negotiated a payout for more than what the average value on the car was !! They always put the customer first no matter what the situation is !! 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a good auto body shopServices: Painting

These guys are the absolute best. I had two experiences with them. The first my car had ended up being a total loss. They walked me through every step of the way of dealing with the insurance company and really helped me out. They were more than happy to answer all of my questions and spent a lot of time doing so.The second time I dealt with them, my brand new car got hit in a parking lot (the replacement for my totaled car). Once again, they were friendly, helpful and did a fantastic job on my car. Once again, they were available to answer all of my questions, helped with the insurance...you'd never know my car had been in an accident. On top of this, they did a bit of juggling to get my car back to me quicker than I expected it. Even if I did have to wait (which I didn't) I would wait 3 months to bring my car to these guys if I had to. Do yourself a favor and come to these guys!Services: Painting

There is a reason J&A has such great reviews! My car had been in an accident and I used my insurance "preferred" shop. I had some concerns with the work done by this other shop when I got it back, but initially brushed them off. When I eventually took that same car in to J&A for an unrelated issue, I asked if they can also take a look at the work that was done by the other shop and tell me if there are any obvious red flags.Not only did they find some glaring issues with the work done by the other shop, but they suggested that I not get any additional work done until I bring these issues up with my insurance company to have re-addressed. I was impressed with how honest Eric and his team at J&A were. They even gave me some advise on how to escalate the issues with my insurer which helped to eventually get the issues with the first mechanic's sloppy work resolved. It's rare to find a mechanic you can trust, and I will be bringing my vehicle to Eric and J&A for any future work.

I went to J&A Auto Body for car repairs after being rear ended. Eric helped guide me through a lot of the claim process making sure I wasn’t getting worked over by the insurance company. His education on the rules and regulations were invaluable during this inconvenient time, at not fault of mine. Additionally, I been hit in another higher impact rear end collision a year prior. The body shop that I took my car to previously did not fix many of the things they were supposed to, unknowingly to me. Joe fixed my car to realign prior damage, which he was not obligated or paid to perform. Their professionalism and service is of the highest standard. They fight for you and go above and beyond their duty. I couldn’t recommend J&A Auto Body enough and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my car needs at this point. Thank you!Service: Body & Trim

J&A did a great job and my car looks new again. The newer luxury cars have so many moving parts and electronics, there is no simple repair. Eric was great explaining how he was going to fight to make sure all replacement parts made the car as good as new. I will definitely come back to J&A if I need another repair.

I have dealt primarily with Eric whom I have found to be thorough, fair and honest. I had some minor body work 18 months ago which was repaired swiftly and expertly. I recently had an issue with some mysterious substance eating into my clear coat finish resulting in what looks like smudge marks. They could not be buffed out. Despite being swamped with work, Eric ensured me that he would take care of the problem on 8/2 which he did. The car was in the shop 2+ days because it needed some repainting and time to dry. Eric kept me informed along the way and the car was ready when promised. Best of all, because the smudge was in the same location from the work 18 months ago, he did the work for a price I couldn't refuse. I live in Reading and was referred to J&A by a friend at the Golf Club. There are probably 20 auto body shops between my house and J&A but don't mind the 15-minute drive for the results that J&A provides. I highly recommend J&A Autobody.Steve KenneallyService: Painting
