We had an amazing time visiting Island Alpaca Company near Vineyard Haven! We were lucky enough to see two adorable baby alpacas, and the staff was incredibly friendly, even bringing them over for us to pet up close. The alpacas were super friendly and came right up to the fence, which made it easy to see them up close. The gift shop was also a highlight, offering lots of high-quality, cute items. The $8 entry fee was totally worth it for such a unique and memorable experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Martha’s Vineyard!

We had an amazing time visiting Island Alpaca! The farm is beautiful, and the alpacas are so adorable and friendly. The highlight was definitely feeding and petting the alpacas - they loved the attention!
The farm also has a lovely gift shop with unique alpaca-themed items and soft, cozy alpaca fiber products.

Not only is this a great place, but they went above and beyond for our friends birthday, and brought out an alpaca with a birthday hat on it.

Not a big yoga person, but this place was better than expected! Super fun and cute. The alpacas come right up to you and the yoga was great for any level of yoga. I recommend because it was a truly different and meaningful experience.

Only $8 to enter and it’s so cool. You can tell they take good care of the alpacas. I’ve spent time in Peru and it brought back so many memories, and they’re so cute!! The baby one was adorable. You can pet them but be mindful. Friendly workers. It’s nothing crazy but for the price it’s definitely worth it. Cool place to bring kids. There was no line and not many people during a weekday around noon.

This was a cute little detour on our way to Chappy. There's not much to do other than pet the alpacas (they do offer private tours scheduled in advance) but it was inexpensive and our 18 month old loved seeing the alpacas. We got there right when they opened on a Friday and stayed about 20 mins. There were only a couple of other groups there at the same time.

Our family did an alpaca walk here. The walk itself was fun and pleasant. The owner, a white lady, however is very rude. Me and my four year old were standing in the hallway (which is in front of the gift shop) waiting for my husband to finish paying, and she step out to yell at us to get out of the way. Such attitude! We were appalled by her behavior. Be kind to your customers.

Visiting this alpaca farm is one of the most affordable activities in Martha’s Vineyard, where everything is so expensive. Rightfully so due to its transportation limitation.
At the same time, it is one of the exciting activities especially if you are with any little ones. Playing, spectating and taking some cool photos with alpaca was a therapeutic experience.
You can purchase the ticket upon entering the parking lot, so buying the ticket in advance is not necessary. You can easily spend a hour or two here.

The experience blends outdoor adventure with educational insights into alpaca care, making it a memorable outing for all ages.

I adore this site! The alpacas are so entertaining to watch, the people that work with the alpacas are hard working and amazing. I have yet to visit the farm but I hope to do that sometime this year. I have purchased from their gift shop over the holidays. This is a pic of my favorite alpaca "Lilliana"! She is funny, goofy, and charming! Looking forward to meeting her some day soon!
