I can’t say enough about how amazing Williowdale and all the staff are. We recently had our wedding celebration on 10/14/2024 and it was truly a perfect day I would do over and over again. From our first tour with Anna to our wedding day and planning with our coordinator Alli everything was so smooth. All our questions were answered and we genuinely felt so cared about. Alli ensured we didn’t have to worry about a single detail day of which was such a relief and allowed us to just focus on eachother and our guests. Not only is the venue beautiful but the food was amazing. All of our guests were so blown away! My husband and I couldn’t recommend Willowdale enough !!

We recently held our annual conference, Creator Camp, at Willowdale, and everyone was wowed by this beautiful space! We loved exploring the historic house and the stunning grounds. The food and drinks were incredible, and the s'mores station and firepit took the experience to the next level. Huge thanks to the amazing Willowdale team for making our event truly spectacular!

Willowdale Estate was INCREDIBLE. Every detail, from the biggest to the smallest, was all taken care of with ease. Our coordinator, Alli, was excellent. The food was amazing. Everyone kept talking about how gorgeous and well-run our event was. Literally everything was perfect and you are crazy if you don't book this venue.

From the moment we began planning our wedding at Willowdale Estate, we knew we were in exceptional hands, thanks largely to two incredible individuals: Kaitlyn Umbro, our sales manager, and Jeannine LaVasseur, our wedding coordinator.
Kaitlyn was a significant reason why we chose Willowdale. While the venue’s beauty speaks for itself, it was her outstanding customer service that truly set the tone for our planning experience. After just a few interactions, we felt completely confident in letting go of all logistical concerns. The professionalism of the entire Willowdale team is unmatched; they anticipated our needs and provided solutions before we even had to ask.
And then there’s Jeannine—if we didn’t know better, we’d think she had a magic wand! Every couple worries about potential hiccups on their big day, but with Jeannine by our side, we felt utterly secure. Her clear and concise communication made everything seamless, and she went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Like when our officiant canceled just a month before the wedding, Jeannine jumped in and found us the perfect replacement without missing a beat! Yes, this is a true story...
We can't thank Kaitlyn, Jeannine and the entire Willowdale staff enough for making our wedding day flawless. If you're considering Willowdale Estate, know that you're not just getting a stunning venue; you're getting an exceptional team dedicated to making your dreams come true.

We were fortunate enough to hold our wedding in Spring 2024 at the Willowdale. The experience was everything we could have dreamt of:
Venue: 15/10
Accommodations: 10/10
Hospitality: 10/10
We need to give a special shout-out to the amazing catering staff (on several occasions during the wedding and after we were told the food was the best they've had at a wedding), as well as our coordinator, Jeannine. From our first sit-down to go over weekend plans to the actual wedding date, Jeannine took all the stress out of the process. She knew what she was doing, gave helpful recommendations, and accommodated the last minute pivots we needed to make. Jeannine and all of the other coordinators we worked with were top class.
If you are looking to hold an event or wedding on the North Shore, look no further than the Willowdale Estate.

We photographed our first wedding at the Willowdale Estate last month and it was absolutely gorgeous. The stone architecture made for a wonderful photo backdrop and the outdoor garden ceremony space literally had PERFECT light.
One of our favorite parts about this venue was how roomy the tented reception felt. The white tent let in so much natural light, and also gave guests plenty of room to move around. There is also an uber-romantic indoor space for cocktails in case of rainy weather.
Even though this venue is just 30 miles from Boston, it is surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest. You feel like you're in the middle of the country here! We can't wait to be back at this historic wedding venue in Topsfield!

We got married at Willowdale on August 16, 2024 and it was the best day of our lives. When we got engaged, Willowdale was the first venue we toured and as we were leaving, we knew that we’d seen all that we needed to. We toured one other venue just to say we did our due diligence but it was clear to us from that first visit that Willowdale was the only option for us. We could not have made a better decision. Everything about our wedding was truly flawless. The staff that work here are exceptional. We were assigned Julia as our wedding coordinator and she could not have been more kind, helpful, and attentive. She ensured that the day and night flowed seamlessly and went off without a hitch. We also cannot say enough good things about the food here. We had countless guests that were raving about the quality of their meal and all the hors-d’oeuvres. The filet mignon was truly better than any we have had at any high-end steakhouse. Several of our guests also said that this was the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever been to and we wholeheartedly agree. From the rustic interior to the gorgeous landscape of the courtyard to the beautiful Sperry tent, Willowdale is magical, particularly at night. Set in the middle of the Bradley Palmer State Park, the serene ambience is something out of a fairytale. Willowdale is also pet-friendly which was of utmost importance to us as having our black lab Ace as an integral part of our wedding was a must. We highly recommend Willowdale to any future couples and can guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Booking at Willowdale was by far the best decision we made for our June 2024 wedding! They sent us a box of some of the best cookies we have ever had after we toured and.... we were sold.
Yes, it's expensive. But you will enjoy your day without any of the worries that may come from a more DIY-venue. We worked with Julia D'Agostino , who was FANTASTIC. I had quite a few visions for our day and it seemed like my and Julia's brains were linked. Julia completely transformed Willowdale into the wedding of my dreams based off a few lists and pictures. Aside from the high level of organization and overall planning assistance from Willowdale in the years and days leading up to our wedding, the food was phenomenal and many of our guests were impressed with dinner and dessert. Overall, could not have asked for a better wedding experience and we are so grateful we discovered and were able to book with Willowdale for our special day!

My daughter recently was married at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, MA. I want to thank the entire staff and special thanks to our venue coordinator, Emily M. Willowdale exceeded our expectations. One word about the food—DELICIOUS! Emily kept our event on schedule and all reports from the guests have been that the venue was so unique. Thank you again Willowdale for making my daughter’s wedding a night that we will never forget!

Willowdale was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding - beyond our wildest dreams. My partner and I met in Boston and lived there together for about 4 years before getting engaged, but then we were about to move out of the state. We decided to get married in the Boston area to have a good excuse to come back and see friends and family. We toured one other venue before Willowdale but fell totally in LOVE with Willowdale as soon as we saw it. My partner said, "I want to marry a special woman in a special place," meaning Willowdale, and that closed the deal! The house itself is beautiful, you have access to all of the upstairs getting ready rooms throughout the whole night, the courtyard where the ceremony happens is just magical, and even the tent is very tasteful and doesn't ruin the aesthetic.
Willowdale staff were very organized in sending us documents about the food/drink options, decor rental options, recommended vendors. We booked nearly every vendor based on their recommendation and we were totally blown away by everyone (we used Karla Cassidy for florals, Joe Carson for DJ, Shane Godfrey for photography, and Black Tie Limo for transportation). Willowdale also has an easy to use online planning tool called Planning Pod that you use to make all selections and payments, it was very straightforward.
My partner and his brother attended a food tasting about 7 months before we got married, they had a great time and had a lot of nice food options served to them! Luckily at Willowdale you can pick a variety of entrees and appetizers and I think we met everyone's needs. We also opted to do dessert through Willowdale rather than get a cake and that worked out perfectly, everyone was so impressed.
About 6 weeks before the wedding we were paired with a wedding coordinator, Emily McTeague, who was AMAZING! She was super responsive and attentive, gave us good advice for things we didn't know how to do, corresponded directly with our vendors as needed, and more. We had a zoom call with her about a month before to finalize our details and then another meeting with her the week of the wedding to double check everything. We were SO impressed with everything she did, especially on the day of. Neither of us had to worry about anything, we just showed up and everything was exactly where it was supposed to be, at the right time and in the right way. She went above and beyond for several things, including but not limited to making sure my MOH had somewhere to store an extra baby bottle of breast milk in the fridge and sending one of the staff to Macy's to buy us a replacement champagne glass when one of our special ones for the sweetheart table broke as they were setting up - we had no idea that they would go to such lengths to ensure we had an awesome experience.
We highly recommend this venue!!
