They were replacing flowers outside the morning of just to make sure everything looked great! The food is incredible, the staff is so easy to work with and was responsive to all of our questions, and the main reception space was so easy to pivot from a nice sit-down dinner to a lively dance floor! “We drive all the way from Waltham to bring our kiddos here. I love that I can keep an eye on my toddler while she plays and explores and I breast feed my infant. The Piazza also offers a lot of community information and resources, especially for pregnancy and postpartum care. And the kids could probably care less about this but I really appreciate the whimsical and simple esthetic. It really helps me to feel calm and really enjoy the environment while meeting and connecting with other mommas!”

“We initially picked Groveland Fairways because it's a BEAUTIFUL venue, they do one event per day, and they have great indoor/outdoor spaces for guests to be able to spread out and relax. The venue itself is charming with beautiful flowers, lush greenery, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and plenty of space inside as well.

I had my wedding reception this past Saturday at Groveland Fairways, and it was an absolutely PERFECT day. I could not possibly give higher praise to the Groveland Fairways staff--they are incredibly kind, supportive, and lead you through the whole entire process.

When I originally booked Groveland, it was with the previous owner. I was notified after I signed the contract that the venue was being bought by Wedgewood and at first I was a little nervous. I had no need to be. Not only did they honor every aspect of my original contract, but they also proactively reached out to make sure I felt comfortable and clear on the transition.

I worked with both Nicole and Julia throughout the rest of the planning process. They walked me through every step of planning the wedding and truly helped my unique vision come to life. They were patient with me when I changed my mind or asked questions, they were supportive and encouraging with my ideas, and made sure that I thought through everything that I needed.

On Saturday, Nicole (my day of coordinator) set up everything exactly as I had hoped and helped the whole entire event flow smoothly. By the time I got to the reception, I didn't need to worry about anything else, because we were completely taken care of. Our guests had the absolute BEST time and commented on how smoothly everything went. Nicole was so attentive to anything we needed and made sure that my husband and I (and our party) had appetizers and drinks and were supported as the event got started. They helped us with anything we needed throughout the event, which was not much, because everything had been planned and organized so perfectly.

At the end of the night, they packed everything back up into our labeled boxes and on a cart so that we could get everything into the car quickly and efficiently and in an organized way, which was SO appreciated.

Weddings can be so challenging because you've never really planned one before. You're planning an event, but it's also an emotional and special day and you hope everything goes perfectly. With Nicole and Julia on my side, I felt at ease through the whole process and then the reception went as perfectly as I could have ever hoped for. I am so grateful to the Wedgewood/Groveland Fairways staff. My husband and I, as well as all our guests, had an incredible evening and were able to enjoy every minute of it thanks to the care and attentiveness of the staff and all the great vendors.”

The theater does not have its own parking. There are a couple of small lots off Federal and Chapman streets that I usually find a spot in, but get there early as there are also a number of good restaurants in the immediate area so parking is tight.”

“Great glow in the dark golf course! I’ve gone several times and it’s fun each time, with good music but it’s not too loud. Each hole is unique. The course feels longer than I thought it would, in a good way, with it being inside. The staff are always nice and helpful. Special thank you to Glenda for always being so friendly and kind! “As a Wedding Photographer and being able to see behind the scenes, the Tupper Manor has it all! Onsite accommodations, bridal suite, a place for the groomsmen to get ready, beautiful grounds with access to the beach and more. There are amazing photo opportunities and stunning backdrops inside and out. The planner was wonderful to work with, the staff was professional and organized. I love shooting at the Tupper Manor and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a classic and traditional wedding vibe.”

“I was pleasantly surprised! I was expecting standard airport hotel with plenty of beige and dated decor. I was so wrong! Seems to be recently renovated and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also decent, if standard, hotel fare.”

“We stayed here for our trip to Boston/Salem/MV/Gloucester. The room was small but it was clean and the hotel was quiet. AC/heater was loud. If you are not planning to be in the room very much and are looking for a room with the basics, it was fine. It is not upscale nor is it low level. Staff could have been more friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Great proximity to the areas mentioned above. Nice photo op near the fountain.

Nearby activities: Quick drive to Salem, Boston, Gloucester and about 1& 1/2 hrs. to New Bedford for the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard.”

“The Elks is fairly priced and some of the bartenders are so nice . The elks is clean needs a little face lift but one of the better places to hols any type of event.”

“We (J&C Entertainment DJ's & Karaoke of Ipswich) have played here a number of times. Large hall upstairs with a good dance floor and a nice stage. Clean restrooms and a bar downstairs. Five stars!”

“My (brand new!) husband and I held our rehearsal dinner here in June and it was perfect. Our 32 guests had a specious, semi-private space at the back of the restaurant and it was absolutely lovely. Ricky, the event coordinator, patiently responded to all my questions and the staff did an incredible job setting up the space. The food was reasonably priced and delicious (we went with steak tips, shrimp scampi and chicken, broccoli and penne)! All our guests raved about the food. The atmosphere was lovely, the playlist was great! I cannot recommend this venue enough for your next event. Thank you to Ricky and the rest of the staff for such a memorable and beautiful evening!!”

“We live Lakeside Inn and are frequent visitors, as we like to get out if boston and away from roommates on the weekends. They have a great breakfast and the bar has Keno and great live music!”

“I see a lot of bad reviews of this Holiday Inn. I also read that it used to be a shelter ?. I always check the bed first for bedbugs, and nothing. Everything was very clean, staff was very nice, shower had good pressure, microwave, fridge, and tv's worked great. I felt completely safe, and even tried to get in at a side door that you could only get out of. No sketchy characters, no dirty hallway carpets, no bad smells, and every outlet worked. There were USB ports in every lamp (there were 4 in the room), and the temperature control was great. I would recommend this hotel. I feel like it got a bad name. Maybe they worked on everything that everyone complained about, and that's why it's better. I would stay here again whenever my husband's band plays in Beverly. My husband is a diamond elite member as well have stayed in these hotels all over the country. Never a problem. We were in room 403.”
