We just had our wedding here and couldn't be happier. The venue is beautiful, and the garden was stunning for a fall wedding. They were replacing flowers outside the morning of just to make sure everything looked great! The food is incredible, the staff is so easy to work with and was responsive to all of our questions, and the main reception space was so easy to pivot from a nice sit-down dinner to a lively dance floor! Couldn't recommend more.

The Commons 1854 was one of our best decisions when planning for our wedding. The building is beautiful, with an extremely professional and communicative staff, amazing and authentic food, and a magical garden where me and my husband said “I Do”. The staff at The Commons, especially our wedding coordinator Paige, made everything go seamlessly. I have celiac and the staff paid extra attention to dietary needs for me and my guests. Planning a wedding comes with a lot of unknowns and Paige made everything from food, to timeline, to decor feel EASY. Amazingly, Paige executed my vision perfectly. We did most decorations and florals on our own, so putting control and hope onto the venue and Paige was daunting but with a blink of an eye, everything fell into place without a worry!! We got so many compliments on our appetizers, the cocktail hour space, and how personable and delightful the servers and staff were. I could not recommend The Commons 1854 more.

From the moment we arrived at The Commons 1854, we knew we had found the perfect place for our wedding. Nestled in a picturesque setting, the venue boasts stunning landscapes, vibrant flowers, and charming architecture that created an idyllic backdrop for our special day.
Staff: The team at The Commons was exceptional. From our first tour to the final send-off, they were attentive, professional, and incredibly supportive. Our wedding coordinator, Paige, was a true gem and accommodated all of our needs.
Ambiance: The venue offers a variety of settings, from intimate indoor spaces to breathtaking outdoor areas. We chose to have our ceremony outside surrounded by hydrangeas and lush greenery, which left our guests in awe. The reception area was equally stunning, with elegant décor and a true ballroom setting.
Catering: The catering team deserves a special mention. The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide range of options to accommodate all dietary needs. Our guests are still raving about the gourmet meal, which was not only beautiful but tasted amazing!
Value: Considering the quality of service, the beauty of the venue, and the overall experience, The Commons offers great value for couples looking to create lasting memories.
In summary, we couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. The Commons exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a magical quaint setting to celebrate your love I highly recommend The Commons 1854.

My son was married here and it could not have gone better. The venue is gorgeous, inside and out, staff is incredible, easy to work with and very professional. They were very prepared and ran the whole night with ease.
Everything went as planned, the outdoor area was beautiful for the ceremony. The two floors were tastefully decorated and spacious.
Plenty of help on the floor serving a very nice apple cider sangria and Hors d'oeuvres - which were spectacular and plentiful. Bar service kept up with the needs of the guests.
The upstairs was huge, floors sparkled and with the high ceilings we could communicate very well. Dinner was sooo good. Salad presentation was beautiful and tasty. I had the filet and it melted in my mouth. Cooked to perfection! FYI, the filet was huge! Staff was awesome, very polite and happy to be there.
Dance floor was large, DJ was phenomenal, it was a great celebration.
If you are looking for a venue for a wedding or whatever, look no further...

When we started the process of looking at wedding venues, we knew that The Commons HAD to be on our list of venues to tour after reading so many rave reviews and seeing the many photos from past weddings. After touring the venue and speaking with Paige from The Commons, we realized that the reviews and the pictures did not do the venue justice and we knew right away that this was the right place to have our wedding. After booking with The Commons, we were constantly reassured that we had made the right choice throughout the entirety of our planning process.Every question we had prior to the wedding was answered promptly and with great detail and we were pleased to receive phone check-ins just to see if we had any questions/needed any assistance. When it came time for the testing, we were blown away by the food offered, as well as by the kindness we were met with by all staff present. As we scheduled our final details meeting with Maura at the end of our tasting, we were so happy to have found such a wonderful support in our day-of coordinator who reassured us that everything would be "just beautiful".On the day of the wedding itself, we found our guests, and ourselves, to be absolutely speechless by the service that was provided by staff at The Commons. From waters for the bridal party, to making sure that one of our groomsmen made it upstairs safely while on crutches, we remained happy. One thing that truly was the cherry on top for our pick in venue was when the bride's brother had left prior to their special dance and our day-of coordinator, Paige, offered to go and get him herself while the bride was saying she would skip her dance. Paige made sure we were supported in that moment, that we were comfortable, and that the bride got her special dance. The physical beauty of The Commons 1854 is not the selling point for this place; don't get me wrong, it's truly a fairytale venue with crystal chandeliers and white marble. The true beauty of The Commons is the staff who work hard to bring your vision to life and work to make sure that your wedding day is stress free. Fairytale + supportive and fun staff = the PERFECT venue!

The Commons 1854 was the perfect wedding venue for us. It had everything: A beautiful outdoor ceremony space with an exceptional indoor alternative, a marble cocktail hour area that fit our ~150 guests perfectly and not crowded, and a beautiful ballroom where the reception takes place. Paige was very communicative and responsive whenever we reached out and was super helpful in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We were showered with compliments all night on the appetizers and meals, which are all cooked in-house. The Commons 1854 made the planning process that much easier with all it has to offer. We can't recommend highly enough!

Maura and the team at the commons created the most beautiful and special day for my husband and I! They were so professional and helpful in bringing our ideas to life-especially after the stress of planning all year! The food was out of this world, BEST wedding food I have come across - and the venue itself is naturally so beautiful and elegant.

We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at The Commons 1854 in October, and the entire experience was exceptional. Our outdoor ceremony knocked our guests’ socks off. The burnt orange, red, and yellow foliage, the pergola, the hydrangea-lined gate and arch, the grandness of the stark white building itself, it was incredibly picturesque. The venue itself is the perfect blend of New England charm and European opulence… marble, columns, statues, chandeliers. The food and drinks were quite frankly too good for a wedding. Typically, wedding food is unremarkable, but this is not the case for The Commons 1854. When we booked with The Commons, we kept hearing about the food being outstanding, and the rumors were true. We have been getting many, many, many unprompted compliments about how delicious the food was - some saying “the best wedding food they’ve ever had!” It seemed that a place like The Commons 1854 with its beauty and culinary offerings was too good to be true… but it was REAL! Now, let’s talk about the service. It matched the magnificence of The Commons 1854 itself. We worked mainly with Giana and Maura, and they are Pros!!!! Throughout the entire wedding planning process, whenever we had a question or concern, they were very responsive and immediately put as at ease each time. The wedding day was a smashing success mainly because of Maura and her team's incredible expertise. Maura runs a tight ship, and kept our ginormous bridal party in order… everyone was where they needed to be and everything ran like clockwork. Not only that, but Maura couldn’t have been kinder. She bent over backwards to make everything run smoothly and truly made us feel that we were in the best hands. She gave us great advice about all things wedding related, and was constantly saying “Don’t worry! We’ll take care of it!”, and she even helped me with my bustle the day of! Way above the call of duty! Giana who we met on our initial tour of The Commons 1854 couldn't have been sweeter - answering every silly question we had, joking with us, being incredibly helpful in every way. Kim the beverage manager was even trialing different cocktail experiments with us during our tasting to make sure we had the perfect his & her signature drinks! My husband and I cannot believe how lucky we were to have found The Commons 1854 and the whole team. It is a Massachusetts gem. Aesthetic, food and beverage, service, convenience of having everything in one place…. You cannot go wrong. 10/10 in every category. It’s miraculous how absolutely perfect our wedding day was. We can’t believe we’re saying this unironically, but it was truly the wedding of our dreams. Thank you to the whole Commons 1854 team!!!

I’m not even sure where to begin, because the commons team made sure it was actually the best day of our lives. The first moment we walked into the venue, we saw how stunning all the features were. From the gorgeous marble floors and fire places, to the outside patio, to the amazing ball-room floor it makes for the perfect venue. The commons itself even made for such a dreamy back drop in our pictures. Right from the start Maura, Gianna, Paige, and Kristi made sure we were set up for success with a written out/planned timeline for all elements of the wedding. They provided a rockstar group of recommended vendors, and they truly did not disappoint. Quick shoutout to levitate weddings and Karla Cassidy florals for bringing class and excitement to the venue. On the wedding day, I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of staff involvement. And when I say Maura and her amazing staff were truly the best, they literally didn’t miss a beat. From helping me out of transportation in my ball gown, to facilitating pictures, to getting the wedding party ready to get introduced, serving meals, and making sure my husband and I sufficiently ate. In terms of food and drinks, we had so many guests coming up to us telling us how delicious their meals were. I can truly attest to this as well as the food was unbelievably tasty and the bar service was impeccable. The DJ kept everyone on the dance floor and the commons staff even moved some tables out of the way to make even more space for people to dance. I truly have only positive comments to say about this venue and hope that other people get to experience the high level of professionalism and class that we also had the pleasure of experiencing.

My brother got married here recently. It was beautiful and the staff was awesome. Such a good experience and beautiful place for a wedding, especially in the fall.
